I don't have any tattoos, but the funniest one I ever saw was a circle that had written in it: Your company name or logo here.

My ex had a great idea (not) for a tattoo for me. (He had a Dodgers logo on his arm.) I don't know if I can be genteel enough to describe it, but I will try. It's funny and disgusting, by turns. He wanted, and this is hard to say, but I hope the punch line is worth it, he wanted a certain area to be half clean shaven, with a tattoo of a guy mowing the lawn.

He's quite the catch, ladies...and (shockingly) he's available !!!!!

NICE!!!

My hubby wants to take the kids' footprints from when they were born and have one set tattooed on each shoulder with their names underneath.

I knew a guy once that would always go up to people and ask if they wanted to see his giant c***. Then he would pull up his pants leg and show them the tattoo of a rooster on his entire lower leg. Sooooo cheesy.

My roommate in college one year got mickey mouse's face tattooed on her stomach and I told her "Yeah, it's cute now but when you get pregnant that thing's gonna look like Dumbo" You should have seen her face! The moral of that story is THINK BEFORE YOU INK

The last straw for my tattoo thoughts was when I was working as a young married at a local non-chain hamburger joint. We had some customers that would come in almost daily for lunch. Two of our regulars were big busted sisters in their late 40's or 50's.

One steamy summer day they had both been out grocery shopping (or something) and decided to stop in for a burger. That day due to the heat they were both wearing tank tops with low scoop necks. Across both sister's chests were large colorful butterflies - their once graceful wings were graceful no longer. Instead of spreading their wings across a beautiful young bosom as they once had, they now looked like they were melting! Their wrinkled wings drooping to follow the landscape they once covered.

All I can say is EWWW! :sick

If you MUST tattoo - placement IS important!

Today, I have been trying to get some monster loads of laundry done. It's a beautiful day at 58 and I'm taking advantage of it. Rain is supposed to set back in tomorrow. :(

Between loads, I made 8 bars of rebatched soap. Five are Honeysuckle and 3 are Dog Bath soap.

I finally gave in and joined Facebook on Friday. I connected with friends that I haven't heard from in years. Some have been since high school and that was in 1984. I still prefer face-to-face, but that's hard to do with so many different schedules, distance, school, work, etc.

I also started playing Farmville . . . fun and addicting. :p

Saturday night was race night. It was cold. We have about 15 people that we always set up with. We all decided to build a fire, but no one brought any supplies. So, we started scavaging. Pretty soon, we had a nice rock circle and plenty of wood. A friend lit the fire with his cigarette lighter, and . . . presto. We were nice and cozy all evening. BTW, DS won and I think we only have 2 more races to go.

The trees here in E. Tenn. are pretty much at their peak with beautiful, bright colors. It's a joy just to be able to glance out the window at them.

Dashing off to check my Farm . . . uhh, I mean get some things done. :D

Our goodwill store is terrible :( It's really really dirty and they never have anything good. I'm glad you have a good one near you :thumbsup

Now some of the smaller, small time thrift stores have great stuff!:)

Congrats on your great find!!

I had been thinking long and hard about what to give my DH for his birthday (10/31). He has more tools than Sears, not a clothes freak and doesn't like stuff that does not have a purpose.

Finally, it dawned on me: I already have something he would really like. Rememeber earlier this year when I started quilting? I had put together a flannel quilt top. (I think I may have posted a pic way back when.) I never finished it because I don't have the means or skill to actually quilt it. Yesterday, my sister found someone who would quilt it for me. She does all my sister's embroidered quilts.

It will be ready Monday! :celebrate

It's probably close to a queen size. I also sent 3 other tops for her to do. One is 40"x40", and the other two are 40"x60" (ish). She is going to do them all for $135. I thought that was a pretty good price for 4 gifts that will actually be meaningful and useful. She will have the other 3 done in two weeks, plenty of time for Christmas.

Now, I have someone to quilt my tops for me. Guess what most everyone will be getting for gifts next year? ;)
