What a miracle! I once heard of a lady who had had a hysterectomy having a child afterward.....happened in my home town. Of course, that baby went to college free of charge! :p

Of course, you have to post pics! What a nice surprise for DH birthday! :)

No puppies yet, but we did find our Calico cat......in labor...:/ and to top that off one of my buff rabbit does pulled her fur just a bit ago, and is making her nest.....ugh...so now I'm on Puppy, Kitten, and Bunny watch!!

I think it's a race to see who blows first!

I have 3 more does due to have kits soon, and plus Nan should be kidding in the next month or so...two broody chickens...pregnant dog, pregnant cat...............

All I can say is I am glad it is all the ANIMALS preggers and not ME!

I am more inclined to believe in the miracle of a lie this time. When they spay a dog they remove EVERYTHING ovaries, uterus ... everything. In people they simply burn the fallopian tubes with a lazier. If the burn is not complete and a small hole remains the lady MIGHT get pregnant.

I would be more inclined to believe the guy lied because he wanted to get rid of the dog, than to believe she re-grew her uterus. :hu

I am not sure if he honestly knew. He said he had got Zoe from his sister, who no longer wanted to deal with her. We are her third (and last) home. He told us his sister had had her spayed before he got her, and he liked his rottweiler better than Zoe, who's a Golden Retriever/Redbone Coonhound cross....and literally the best dog we've ever had. She's never once had an accident in the house, and she's the first large dog my DH has allowed in the home!!!

On the upside, so far we have potential homes for 3 of however many puppies she has! I didn't wait until she had them to talk to people we knew. I wanted to be sure I could place these guys in good homes. :)

I am certain that you will find them good homes. You are just like that.

A friend of mine (friend?) recently got mad at her un-spayed cat and just chucked her outside. Then she got pregnant (surprise surprise surprise). The kitties are now born and she still has no clue what to do with them. To all of this I can only say --> :smack

Are you kidding me??? I'm not opposed to people allowing their animals to reproduce, but c'mon! If you aren't going to spay/neuter, at least be responsible about the babies that are going to be the result of it. :(

No puppies yet, but this morning we woke up to Zoe panting heavily, and shivering. She didn't eat her breakfast, but did drink a bit of water which she immediately brought back up on my floor. Now she's in the corner of my bedroom, the spot she chose for herself because it's like a little cubby area, and I gave her an old flannel sheet and an old baby comforter that we were going to use for cleaning rags. I have a couple brown Army towels that my nephew gave me just incase I need to wipe down any puppies. Hoping mom can do it all on her own, though, as I am not a big fan of human intervention unless there is a real need. :)

Yes, Pam, yesterday (May 12) was DH's birthday. :) We didn't have a party, but I did give him a brand new pair of shears for his b-day as he had been asking for them for several weeks. My nephew got DH his fishing license for him for his B-Day and now they are planning a day for the two of them to go fishing.

Girl, you really know how to keep things interesting, don't you? Our neighbor has a dog that she lets run loose when she's in heat and she has had several litters of puppies that she has "gotten rid of". After I found her after her last litter so thin that you could see her all of her bones I called animal control and when they threatened to take the dog away from her she finally had her spayed, thank goodness! Good luck and I can't wait to see what those puppies look like!
