Aly, I like the first one but I think a pic of a chick alongside an egg may be more memorable and eye-catching. Everyone loves baby chicks and it has more appeal than a clutch of eggs or even the full blown chicken. Also might want to have more eye-candy colors than cream and brown. Nothing too garish but something that stands out a little more.

You could even do a two-sided card if you want to include more info. Its pretty simple. I used to make all my own business cards and used the perforated business card stock for creating gift certificates also.

Creating biz cards is so fun!!! :ya

Ya'll are full of ideas!!

We actually chose our Blue Laced Red Wyandottes for our Logo chicken, if that makes sense, but then I started re-thinking the whole logo thing. I have it pictured in my head what I want.

When someone says farm, what do you usually think of first? For me, it's a barn. I'm thinking a barn, with a treasure chest shape to it. Haven't figured out how to do that yet, but we're trying to sketch out something.

I want the colors of my Blue Laced Red Wyandottes because they are my favorite chicken. That's why the colors are that brownish red, cream, and greyish blue...the colors were pulled from the feathers of my own chickens.

Someone mentioned brochures and did you know there is a program where you can generate your own brochures? (I think we bought it at Staples.) We did it a few years ago with DH's business. It wasn't fancy smancy, but it looked really good. If you did a brochure, you could put way more info on it. If you already have the printer and stuff at home, it wouldn't be that expensive.

You could also coordinate it with your business cards and paperclip them together.

I'm thinking of doing that next year with my greenhouse business.

BTW, I like the first one, too.

W00t! Congratz Aly! I know how that feels, so many eggs and time. Are these eggs you ordered, or do you already have some foundation stock? Hopefully all the rest of the eggs hatch.

Oh these are going to be my foundation stock. I've not had any BBS Orps yet. It's a breed I definitely wanted for my flock, and after my third attempt to hatch them, I was ready to give up.

My first batch of BBS Orps were from needmorechickens, over on BYC, and didn't develop but I think that was the due to a bad storm with a power outtage for two days.

My second batch of BBS Orps were from Tuffoldhen, as well as my third batch. The first set from Tuffoldhen, once again, had a power outtage, and my chicks died in shell half way through development. I was so heart broken. The third batch of eggs, second set from Tuffoldhen, a house guest who was angry with me turned my incubator as high as it would go. That hatch would have been 100% hatch, too, as when I cracked them open on day 25, they were all dead, but most had pipped into the air cell, and all were fully formed ready to hatch chicks. :hit

And I know it wasn't any of the kids that did it, because the kids were with me and DH, and I know it had to be tampered with, because the knob was turned all the way to the left. I was FURIOUS.

This time, we had a 3 hour power outtage on day 19....AND I'M STILL GETTING CHICKS!!!!!!!!!

:ya :woot :weee

eta: I wasn't going to purchase anymore BBS Orp eggs after attempt number 3, but needmorechickens offered me these for the cost of shipping only, and then offered to ship me chicks if I couldn't get any of these to hatch!! How's that for customer service!!!!!!!!!!!
