Hey ya'll! We made it to keljonma's. Surgery is tomorrow at 7:30 am but we have to be at the hospital by 5 am.
keljonma stuffed us full of food of course. We had homemade sloppy joes, potato salad, salad, and birthday cake (today's her birthday ya'll, so jump to her journal and say happy birthday!).
Her husband is super nice and kept jumping up to fill my water glass every time it was empty. I had to tell him to stop! LOL
It was a nice drive up here.
We were at the hospital for Ernie's bloodwork and they were digging for a vein until he told them to try a different one. LOL He was joking saying, "See, I'm done! They stuck me once, I'm all better, time to go home!" lol (I think he's scared about tomorrow.)
OK well I'm off to go visit her chickens and relax a bit. I think they have more coffee in the kitchen and AFB breeding in the freezer!!
I am SOOO jealous! I can hardly imagine what it would be like to sit down to dinner at keljonma's.....or most people here. I'd want to be snooping in all her cupboards to see what I could learn....can you get a good look for us?
We had a great visit with QA & her dh! Not only did we get to stuff them full of food (insert evil laugh here), we hung out with the First Ladies, and took QA & her dh to Linesville Spillway in PA to watch the fish, ducks and geese. QA got some great pictures.
They'll be leaving here about 4 am to get to the hospital on time. Our prayers are with them both for successful surgery and rapid recovery.
QA's mom just called me to say that E's surgery was successful and without problems. E is headed off to the recovery room now and should be home within the next few days.
Thanks so much for the updates. Next time you talk to QA & E let them know we are thinking abou them. Great news on the surgery. What a relief for them and all of us here. Its all downhill from here.
