Thank you so much for keeping us up to date, I hope Ernie rests well tonight! And of course you too, Aly, but I think you will, now that the worst is over.
I talked to Aly and E this morning. E still isn't up on his feet as the therapists haven't come yet, so I don't believe he'll get out today. He has some numbness in his one leg that has him worried a bit, but it is likely from having his nerves jumbled and from operation swelling. His incision was 12 inches.
Aly said I could post the phone number direct to the hospital room as 330-480-5215. She is rather bored just sitting there while E sleeps. The hospital had a public computer station, but it was recently stolen.
Her mom is at Aly's house watching the kids and animals. Aly has chicks hatching and would love to be there for that. It's a bummer that the hospital is 2 hours from home. That has to be hard on both of them.
My step dad called within 30 minutes of our getting home, and asked to talk to Ernie, who BTW isn't in the best of moods after the 2 hour ride home and didn't want to talk really! But he took the call, and the first thing my Step dad ask was, "When will you be able to go to work?"
The man can barely walk yet! Grrr...
Anyhoo.........
I haven't read all the posts from ya'll yet, but I will. Right now I just want to thank everyone for their prayers, well wishes, for the phone calls, and for those who posted updates.
Tallman, I am sorry I had to end our phone call so abruptly. Ernie and I both enjoyed our conversation with you.
Free, I did get pics of keljonma's pantry....she could give SKR8PN a run for his money...but you'll have to wait a few days for those pics. I am not up to uploading right now.
keljonma and Becky, thank you thank you thank you for just everything.
I'll post more details regarding Ernie's surgery, the hospital stay, etc. when I am more rested and have time to be online.
side note: came home to 2 Black Copper Maran hatchlings and 1 Speckled Sussex!
