LOL! Yup I have several bantam breeds. I think I may have more bantam breeds at this time than I do standards???

Bantams:
Mille Fleur d'Uccles
Quail Antwerp d'Anvers
Porcelain d'Uccles
Wheaten Ameraucanas
Sizzles
Gold Laced Cochins
Black Tailed Buff Japanese
Sizzles
Buff Brahmas

Standard Breeds:
Black/Blue Cochins
Cuckoo Marans
Black Jersey Giants
New Hampshire Reds
Red Stars
Speckled Sussex
Welsummers
Blue Laced Red Wyandottes
Black Sumatra (just 1 rooster)

Breeds that are in between (IMO anyway) bantam and Standard:
Apenzeller Spitzhaubens
Pheonix

Hmm..guess I have just as many bantam breeds as I do standards right now LOL

I am jealous of you BLR Wyandottes!

When I had bantams I got all worked up over Cochins and Modern Games! I loved the contrast!

It was born of necessity, not really cleverness lol. I need to get my bantams into their own pens, or they won't make me any money.

I'm really hoping to have enough in egg sales this next month to be able to buy enough 2x4's to build a 4x8 coop out of. Where I use 8x8 coops for standards, I'm thinking a nice 4x8 coop should house up 5 bantams comfortably, if not more?

We'll see.

So at 1:30 pm today SSI called to do an over the phone interview with Ernie again. They are filing an entirely new claim now, since they had closed the one where we went before the ALJ. Sigh.

He said we should have an answer in 3 months.

Ok so we're planning Baby Boy's first B-Day party for this Saturday. Nothing fancy, just invited over family and friends.

I ordered his cake today. Yes, I know it's more SS to bake the cake myself, but I just don't have time. Besides, I've this whole tradition of first birthday's being a Winnie the Pooh theme....each kid had a Winnie the Pooh party, and by golly, Baby Boy is, too!

Well, I couldn't get the cake from my first choice, so second choice was the local grocery's bakery. They do a good job as far as cakes go, and we've had cakes from there for the older kids. Problem is, they did away with their Winnie the Pooh cakes.

So the lady and I came up with a plan to use the cake decor from the Charlotte's web cake, and just not put the Charlotte's web kit with it. So I'd be buying the cake without the kit, but it'd be iced to look like grass and a dirt path. Figured I'd get a Winnie the Pooh figurine for the top at the Dollar Store tomorrow.

Well, as she was writing the order, I saw under their cake book more cake sheets. I pulled them out, flipped through them, and lo and behold!! they still had a picture of the Winnie the Pooh cake!! They no longer carry the kit, but she said they'd still ice the cake to look like the Pooh cake for me!! I was so stinking excited!!

To make it even better, they include with the cake for FREE a personal 4 inch cake for Baby's first b-day!! Normally I'd buy a 4 inch cake separate!! Since the big cake has white icing with blue trim, they are going to decorate the small cake to match and put an icing honey bee on the side of it to match the big cake! Plus it will say "Happy 1st B-Day". I can't wait to see him smoosh that cake!!!!

So tomorrow I'm on the hunt at the local Dollar Store for a $1 Winnie the Pooh. I've seen them before, but with my luck, they'll be sold out.

Now for the downer part.

Apparantly no one's able to come?? save maybe one friend. :( My mom said she has other things going on, so they won't be coming. I've only been planning this since last month, she's known all along. She said she's signed up to work the fair and she can't get out of it. Ok.

DH wouldn't let me send an invite to the BIL that we can't stand, not that I blame him, but part of me is tempted to shoot of an email that says, "B-day party 3 pm for Baby Boy if you're interested. Not that we expect you to show with your daughter since you've not brought her to play with her cousins since you moved up from Florida in January." I mean, their daughter is their cousin after all. I know that next month when their DD turns 3 they'll be mailing out this fancy invites and begging us to bring our kids....sigh...

And it's not like he's going to remember that no one came to his birthday party. It's not like it's a party where he'll get to play games, etc. He's just going to eat some good food and have his first cake. Then I'm sure he'll be hyped up on sugar and I'll want him to take a nap, and he won't LOLOL

Oh well...I'm sure it'll be nice even if it is just us and the kids. :)
