Quail_Antwerp: Words from the Barnyard...

I just got caught up on your journal. That was rough going through the stored stuff. I would have reacted pretty much the same. What a creep to not let you guys bring your things into the house.
My DD had all the serendipity books. She too loved Leo the Lop. The was one about keeping the oceans clean that she really liked too. But the Serendipity dinosaur one was all our favorite. She was also into the my little ponies. We got her to stop sucking her thumb by using them as rewards. She finally gave up her herd, when there was a bad flood south of us in Watsonville and she donated most of them to the kids who lost everything and lived in camps, so they would have something to play with.

DD is 28, I am 54. I'm working on being a crone

Emmy found a new home this evening :weee She is now living with a couple who have experience with Mini Horses and were very happy to give her a good home. They have their farrier coming out next month and the vet coming to see her this month. :D I'm very pleased to not have her eating down my pasture now.

They said they will send me updated pictures and keep me informed as to how she is doing. They couldn't stop petting her, talking to her, and were excited to add her to their family. :D

I know you have been trying to find her a new home for a while now.

Congratulations on the sale! It certainly sounds like she has a terrific new family. :D

Well, they said they would send me updates on her and recent pics, and they said if she does foal they will definitely let me know. They also said they plan to keep the baby (assuming she is expecting).

I'm just happy about the amount of HAY I'm going to be saving on this winter!

Congrats! More room for chickens!!!! :lau
Uh, no. E's already threatening to get rid of 1/2 the chickens I already have because he can't walk out in the yard to his barn without them running towards him. :gig They thought he had TREATS :lau

Yesterday when kjm and her DH were down, we were eating lunch outside. KJM's DH tossed a treat down to one of the first ladies and KJM said, "You won't have 15 chickens running to you for treats here, you'll have 150!" :lau :gig It was hilarious!

The Ladies aren't so ladylike when it comes to treats, though. They are right up in your face taking what they want :lau :gig
