Yay! Once this well is installed, youwill have so much more time that you'll have to get more animals to fill your time with. :D :hide
ROTFL! I'm looking forward to the extra time being spent with the animals I already have!

and I'm also looking forward to knowing I won't have to worry about not having enough water for them if we're stuck up on this hill.

And - HAVING A GARDEN HOSE!

OMG that's the singlest most important I can't wait to have part of this whole shindig!!

A HOSE!! WITH A SPRAYING NOZZLE ON THE END! Color me stupid, I don't care, I'm going ALL OUT for a garden hose! and a spray nozzle!

I want one of those nozzles that have settings - so if I want to spray out the duck pond I can do that on jet - and shred up that duck poo with some good water pressure! heeheehee!!

ooooh! and firing it at the kids on hot summer days! whoot!

and being able to fill waterers up anytime I need to.

second thing I'm excited about - HOT SHOWERS! in the morning when I wake up - omg that's going to be so exciting!! that and to be able to wash my kids every night before bed - even if they're not that dirty!

and to be able to turn on my washing machine and do a load of laundry whenever we need to! instead of just whenever we can

whoot!

ok, now i'm really crying. all the things we can do that i haven't done in my own home the last 9 years.

You're AMAZING!!! I love that you're more excited about a hose/ducks/playing with the kids than a hot shower. Only a SSer would put that second on their list! You go girl!

LOL I didn't even think of it in that way, pertaining to SS...I was only thinking of how much easier a hose is going to make my outside choring/cleaning of stuff!

And my kids have never played in a hose - not at their own home anyway. I want them to know what they've been missing!!

I can keep their sand and water table full all summer for playing and learning activities!! whoot!!

I'll be able to fill up theirs and the ducks kiddie pools! double whoot!!

potty training my soon to be two year old DS will be soooooo much easier! He will be the ONLY one of my sons to potty train with running water! so much easier to wash accidents out of undies! whoot!!!

No more driving down the road - putting on miles and using gas - to get water! no more trying to make every trip to town count, and arranging appointments to coincide for when we have to be there to get water *snicker*

Last year, we had gone to the local Harcatus to do the annual HEAP application. They gave us an energy saving kit with CFL bulbs and a few other items. One of the energy saving items was an energy efficient shower head - with different settings for the water spray.

I'm not kidding, I didn't hear another word the lady said. She didn't know we didn't have running water, so after my DH and I saw that, we nearly broke out into giggles. I spent the rest of our appointment day dreaming about showers - the feel of hot water running over your head and down your back - running a rough wash cloth lathered with soap over your arms and legs - scrubbing my scalp with fingernails and lots of shampoo - and the hot water just running down and rinsing it all away - leaving behind a freshly scrubbed, tingly clean feel.

Best darn day dream I ever had.

Oh! i need to run out and get pictures of the stakes marking the spots!

BRB!!!!!!!!

Ok - here's the pics of our "possible well spots" :D

This is the first stake they put in the ground, but they said the second spot - which is about 20 ft away - is probably the better spot.

Possible Well Spot 2 is just a wooden stake in the ground - this is the spot I'm hoping they go with, because it's right about the midway point between house and barns - so perfect spot, imo, to put a garden hose/watering center.
