Cold is on the Right, Hot is on The Left
I am plugging in the 'bators!!!!!!! My mom's bringing me eggs on Monday, and I'm going to be setting a bunch of mutt eggs!! WOOT!
On top of that, 3 pairs of bantams will be moving into the house, to see if we can encourage some mating and egg laying to help get a head start on the spring hatching...hehehe and maybe so I can offer up some hatching eggs. We'll have to see.
So I'll be bringing in Robert and Fran, my pair of Quail Antwerps, and setting them up into their own large abode complete with roosts, feed/water, and a nesting area. And maybe a little dust box, for dusting! Pepper and Henny, our silver duckwings, will also be getting a chicken condo, as will Cricket and Elizabeth or Ruth, or maybe both. I think I can fit a trio in there. I have 2 roos and 3 hens of the Mille Fleur, so I might see what I can set up so I can go ahead and separate them into a trio and a pair...
Regardless, I'm super excited that DH is letting me get going already! WOOT!! I think he agreed partly because he knows I'm going NUTS with all this winter, and partly because he knows by the time the chicks hatch, people will be looking for chickens!!!
I am so excited!!
