Aw honey, I'm trying to catch up from my internet crash and I just saw about Jett....he sure was a looker!
With my son all I wanted was spicy food....I ate more buffalo chicken sandwiches from hooters and chili with jalepeno cheese sauce in it than I care to admit.
With my daughter it was all over the place, I didn't want to eat at all for the first trimester and then I wanted to eat everything in sight for the next two trimesters.
So last night our beekeepers assoc. meeting was hosted at a local dairy farmer's home. They raise and milk Jerseys. While we were there, the lady of the house said, "You like to get Jersey Bulls calfs (they actually know us personally) we have one that was just born recently. First one here Monday morning gets him FREE."
I said are you serious??
She said yes! WOW.
Then towards the end of the meeting, she said if we didn't want to come early Monday morning, we could got after 5 pm today
So this evening, after 5, we're going to go pick up our NEW Jersey Bull Calf!
Not feeling well today - not really sure what is wrong, just feel weird. Pushed myself to check the hive today, but didn't check every frame. Thought I was going to pass out from heat after I was done, so hurried up with closing up and getting back to the house.
Been drinking a TON of water.
I just have no energy today. Literally feel like I could pass out and sleep a week!
tried to lay down and take a nap, but it was just too hot.
My precious daughter is washing the little bit of dishes from our lunch for me right now. She is so sweet. She filled up a tall glass of tap water for me, and since we didn't have ice, she took a popsicle out of the freezer and put it in my glass of water for coolness! How sweet is she??
I also have received a couple of super sweet gifts from SS members!
loriadams sent me this adorable security blanket (she actually sent two, one for boy, one for a girl, but since then I found out it's a girl and not sure where I put the blue boy one lol)
I'm thinking of getting some cute little attachable toys (like those velcro wrist rattles) to attach to the loops on it.
Tankshill made this beautiful afghan for baby girl with a matching hat!
and then my parents gave us this adorable kids' couch - the seat opens to reveal a toy box
and our Amish friend made this thermal receiving blanket for baby girl the edges are trimmed in lavender and white.
lol no, Wifezilla, I don't think so. I think part of my problem was needing to uh...um...well....have a healthy potty break - most polite way I can think to say that. sorry!
I also think I may be slightly dehydrated, not drinking enough water, so I've been sitting here (with the fan facing right at me) and guzzled down 2 8oz glasses of water, and am now just sipping on water.
And I ate lunch. Nothing big or heavy. And then had a snack of zuchinni bread
most work i did today was check the hive, taking it easy the rest of the day.
Take good care of yourself. It is miserable being pregnant in the heat. That is so sweet of your little daugher to take such good care of Mommy!
Those are some pretty gifts, but I think getting a bull calf is the best!! I just love cows. I wish I could have one, but not in the city and only having .86 acres
