In the bag of baby stuff is an infant tub. Never had one before, never used on, so not sure if I will use it or not??? Do those come in handy?
My baby boy is 9 weeks old and all we use is the baby tub. I use it in my kitchen sink. I have a tall faucet that I can swing out of the way once it is filled. It saves my back and knees from being on the bathroom floor. I love my infant tub.

Thank you to everyone, for the input on the school and the mom's who replied on the infant tub :)

Our former Help Me Grow Service coordinator, M, just stopped in. She no longer works for HMG, and we're no longer participating in the program, but she has remained a friend (will tell reason for her visit in a minute). We discussed Baby Boy's behavior and his age - he JUST turned 3 in July, so he's not been 3 that long. She said it sounds to her, too, like he's just not ready. She said he might need to wait until he's 4 to be ready, and she really thinks 1 year of pre-school/headstart is enough.

Also spoke with another friend who pointed out that we can read daily with Baby boy (and I have been) and engage him in different learning toys at home, we can teach him his ABC's and 123's, and that can be done while I'm BF'ing the baby! I'm thinking that is probably a smart idea, because if I'm feeding the baby, but still focusing some attention on Baby Boy by teaching him to sing his ABC's, then he won't feel left out or that the baby is taking all of my attention.

I've already let him get playdoh, and he loves that. We've been discussing getting him one of the playdoh activity packs that has cookie cutters and a rolling pin in it. I think we saw them for $10. The older kids would enjoy playing with playdoh, too.

We've already set up a bookshelf/reading/coloring area for all of the kids to use - it's in the first room addition, and the kids are able to access the books and it's in an area easily supervised from the livingroom by us.

Anyway, my freebie brag for a moment - M stopped by because she wanted to know if I had a baby swing. I said No, but I wasn't too worried about it at this point because I do have a bouncer. She replies, "Well, I have a swing for you, just wanted to know if you had one already first or not.

Here's the kicker it's a fisher price papasan baby swing! the My Little Lamb one! I nearly fell over! I asked how much would it cost me, and she said, "Nothing! It's free!" :th

The papasan swings are NOT CHEAP imo - and even the ones we've looked at used have been $50 or more, so to be GIVEN one just wow wow wow! I just feel so blessed!! And Baby Girl is being so spoiled!!!

:celebrate on the free swing ! I didn't use the baby bath when mine were babies - I had a sponge that the baby laid on in the bathtub so I could run some water in the tub without him being down in it. I don't know what those are called though :hu

another advantage to working with your son on abc's and 123's while breastfeeding little one, is that little one will also be getting more language exposure even if she seems to be just concentrating on getting food, and probably the two children will bond more closely because neither one will feel left out of the equation.

Tomorrow afternoon, I'm going to town with Becca! :celebrate Haven't had a day in town since - well since we went on that smallish shopping spree at Kohl's :hide

She said something about possibly hitting a quilting store that's having a good sale this weekend! :celebrate I've never been to this store, so it will be a real treat!

We're taking Baby Boy with us, because that way E won't have him underfoot and he and the older kids can get some outside work done. :thumbsup

We got 2 more loads of laundry done, and I'm seeing a light at the end of the tunnel in the laundry department!!

DD has washed this evenings dishes up, so YAY! and DS 2 swept the kitchen floor for me! :love

DS 1 put folded and put away his laundry tonight without being told! He also helped DS 3 and Baby boy fold and put away their laundry, too! :D

DD put her OWN laundry into the wash :th and then moved it to the dryer when the wash was done. She offered to put in mine and E's laundry, but I told her no thank you, I'll do mine and daddy's laundry.

:love

No, he didn't. He said he was going to go, and then he decided he wasn't going to go. He's as changeable as the weather!!

HAPPY SATURDAY MORNING!!

Thanks for the compliments on my kiddos! :D They just really want to earn that movie night, I think! ;)

Becca's going to be here around noon, and my livingroom is still a fantastic disaster!! That's what we'll be working on this morning. :)

Then Becca and I are going to town! whoot! to a quilting store! whoot!!!

and I'm going to walk this baby OUT! (I hope) hehehe Not really. I want her to wait now, because I cannot risk being in the hospital for the 14th!

But, do you see the count down? NINE DAYS!! that's exactly ONE WEEK AND TWO DAYS!! But since today is already here, maybe we could skip counting today - so that would make it 8 days and if we don't count the acutal day I'm scheduled then that would make it 7 days!

Whoot whoot! a baby in a week!! A WEEK!! WHOOT WHOOT!!

And 'bout time, too! :p

Anyhoo - hope ya'll have a fantabulouso day!
