So last night as we were going to bed, E asked me if he has to go into the OR with me when we have baby girl.

Me: what? you don't want to go be with me???
him: I don't want to watch them cut you open again. (me :smack )
Me: are you kidding me? you're going to let me go through this A LONE?!
him: no, I'll go, but I just wish we could trade places and I could do it for you. (ok that's kinda sweet.)

but kind of exasperating, because he was NOT all that supportive when I first talked about wanting to attempt a VBAC, he was worried something would go wrong and we'd have an emergency c-sect. and kept repeating to me over and over how I have a good doc, etc. NOW he's nervous about going into the OR with me?!

I told him simply, "Just don't look over the drape. Just stay talking to me, because they promised me that this time will be different and that you'll get to hold baby girl RIGHT NEXT to me in the OR instead of wisking her off to the nursery like they did with Baby boy! (he was 3 weeks early, they were concerned with breathing issues). "

So I think he's OK, but I did tell my doc about it today, and she said she understood why he said it and how he's feeling, and they won't invite him to stand up and watch them pull her out. :)

Aw. He's just worried for you. But he's gotta man up, right!

Wishing you a happy delivery and easy recovery. My kids were all forced evacuations, but not c-sections. :D Giving birth was the greatest high ever for me. and it lasted until the sleep deprivation misery set in.

In my next life I will be a mid-wife. I love births of any kind. I hope all goes well with yours. Who knows, maybe the universe has other plans and you pop BG out before scheduled.

Since I just went though the same thing a few weeks ago I completely understand how you are feeling right now. My baby boy turned 10 weeks old yesterday. Congrats and wishes for a quick and easy birth for you!

So when I had posted my monster list of things that need done around here, I had no idea that it was in the works for another blessing to fall on us. We were able to get insulation for both rooms, enough to finish the woodburning room I think, and we have more coming for our bedroom. YAY.

E can't work non-stop on it. We get a couple sections done, and then take a break. lol

We were also able to get the stuff to put down the second layer of flooring materials coming into the room addition - or at least enough to get under the woodburner. We'll get the rest for the other half of the room later.

But, just the fact that progress has been made is wonderful! The woodburner room should be completely insulated and ceiling drywalled and half the floor complete (except for the laminate) before I go to have baby girl! Might take us all weekend working on it, but whoopee!!

And that's the news here. :)

Now I'm going to finish my lunch before I go out to cut and hang insulation! :)

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!

We have two cats - correction, my DD has 2 cats. My Aunt gave my DD a beautiful - intact - calico who was so afraid of people when we got her that she hid in our house (DH broke his no house cat rules in the old trailer for her, because DD has him wrapped). Her original name was Esther. Blah! Esther, for a gorgeous calico?? DD changed her name to Shy, because her behavior obviously was.

Now, almost 4 years later, she has sweetly warmed up to DD. For the most part, only my DD can touch her, but she was being super nice to my DH and I a few weeks ago - because she was preggers. Again.

The second cat is Shy's daughter, Pearl, who is about 2 years old. She is not near as big as her momma, and she was a single kitten litter (thank goodness!) and we had NO intentions of keeping her. DD cried and whined, etc. Ok so she gets to keep her. Darn.

She is what I call a Dwarf cat. She just stayed small! So small, that I didn't think she COULD have kittens (never assume).

Pearl is the proud Mama of 3 male kittens - almost old enough for new homes - named Padre, Simon, and Two (Baby boy named Two).

We had pretty much decided to keep Padre, and Shy never did show up with any kittens.

Until today that is. We found FIVE. Three girls (not staying, no way I don't care HOW CUTE Dh says the black and white one is!) and two boys. The girls are an almost solid gray with white markings, a black and white (DH wants to name her Bobbie), and a grey and white. The boys are an orange and white tabby (he can stay) and an almost solid white with some blue eyes.

I didn't want to have 10 cats.

Wondering if OFG really IS at the cat limit............................................................................................

and yes I'd like to get both adult females spayed, but that hasn't made the list of priorities yet since there were things my human family needs first. Hope ya'll understand.

Most humane societies will spay "feral" cats for free and let you keep them, my Sister had to trap the 4 that were dumped at her house and they fixed them all and she just turned them back out for hunters. That may be an option for you.

Quite true, or groups will spay them for you if they have spay-neuter funds from grants from their state.
