Quail, I love your spirit girl!

You really have made lemonade out of lemons...sometimes it takes a while to get the recipe just right, looks like you are right about there.

I am working really hard at having faith, I whole heartedly believe that things happen for a reason, but I am working more on letting go of the worry and planning portion of my life. I need to (as my DH says) quit swimming against the current and just float along a bit and see what wonderful things are around the bend. I am a serious worrier and I torment myself with making decisions, so it is hard for me.

I love reading your stories and I am so happy for you that things are really turning around for you and your family :)

I just don't know what to say, other than this: You'd better go buy some lottery tickets, girl!!!!

Your animals are just beautiful! I really like your calf too...just adorable!

Well, I don't really play the lottery. I've bought a couple scratchers now and then, but then my conscience really gets to me when I do that. It's best if I leave the lotto alone.

Dace, it's really not that hard to have faith. Especially when you look for the blessings!! :D

Aly, all your finds look healthy and brawny! Lovely, lovely babies and geese! Jersey calves are the cutest of all, I think. Those geese are soooooo clean and pretty..... :drool Plenty of down to harvest there, you know.

Yep, God is blessing the Quail nest right now and its a good thing to see.

Love a gal who holds the world in a paper cup,
Drink it up, love her and she'll bring ya love....... ;)

Ya'll, I am exhausted!!!!!!!!

I feel like we haven't slowed down this entire week! and it's only half over!

Oh wait, we haven't slowed down

Since we brought the bottle babies home, we now have schedules to follow....I have to get up at 6:00 am now instead of sleeping in until 7...so I get up at 6am and first thing I do is put on our cofffee. While that's brewing I get the water on so I'll have warm water to mix up the calf milk. So right now, my schedule is looking like this:

7:00 am-7:30 am feed Herbie feed/water big calf
7:30 am-8:00 am feed/water goats and chickens, collect eggs if any are laid yet.
8:00 am-8:15 am feed Bambi her bottle
8:30 am-9:30 am Family has breakfast, and I nurse the baby while eating mine.
9:30 am-Noon wash dishes, clean house or run errands, Nurse the baby, find time to post online HAHAHA I bet that happens less!
Noon..Feed Bambi second bottle of day fix lunch for family
1:00 pm run out to coops, check for eggs, refill any waterers/feeders if necessary, check calf and goat water
2:00 pm-4:00pm clean house or yard or kids rooms or kids nurse baby clean coops if needed clean out Bambi's crate bring in firewood if needed for night.
4:00 pm feed Bambi 3rd bottle
4:30 pm start dinner
5:00 pm-6:00 pm dinner (hopefully!)
6:00 pm feed Herbie and Calf 145 and check goats water, give goats sweetfeed
6:30 pm close up chicken coops
7:00 pm-8:00 pm get kiddos ready for bed
8:00 pm feed Bambi last bottle of day, send kids to bed.
8:00 pm-11:00pm is my free time...I might wash dishes or just sit here on the computer....Or I might go to bed at 10! LOL

Today we had to go get water, so that was done in the morning between feedings of Bambi. Normally we would next door to FIL's to get water, but he took out the outdoor pump handle that was available to us, so there is no longer and outdoor source for us to get water at his place. We think he did it intentionally (long story, history there, goes with why I have issues with the BIL and SIL). So now we are driving 11 miles away to get water. Not very SS.

Sooo since we had to run in and get water, we made a trip count, stopped at the Court House and paid our property taxes and then stopped at the feedstore to get probias and scour meds for Bambi. The scour meds are a just in case type thing. We also picked up the refill on DH's pain meds.

Then we came home and it started raining while we were unloading the water. That always helps, right LOL So we sloshed through mud and muck and got everything done that needed done. My Embdens and ducks were loving the rain, though!

I collected 7 eggs today. :)

At any rate, I'm exhausted, and my shoulders and back are still sore from all of Monday's excitement..........sure which I had a MT close to me.....:p
