Wow girl you are busy!!

And this is for FIL! :smack Tell him to put that handle back on the outdoor pump!!
How often do you have to go get water?
Right now about once a week. We fill everything up and we try to be careful on how much water we use for what. The animals take up the most water, but it rained so the rain barrels are full now and we'll use that for the critters.

FIL can't put the handle back on, as he took it out of the ground pipe and all and closed it off. No big deal. :p We'll make it work.

That time you spend typing on a forum IS NOT WASTED! It is a way to keep your head on straight and relax.

Sometimes I feel like the only people that understand the weird way I think about life are those online. Finding a group (like this one) of like minded folks to share with and bounce ideas off of is valuable time spent.

Thanks, FarmFresh! :) I actually just sat down for a breather...got the kids carrying in the firewood as they just got done with a bit of schoolwork and I have the outside chores done for now, other than bringing in the wood.

We have SNOW. :barnie about 2 inches worth. I'm praying it isn't here too long, and that my warm weather comes back soon.

QA what size jeans does your DD wear? I am going through the clothes that my one friend gave me while I was in the hospital but, I am thinking some of them might me a little small. I could bring them when I come visit later this spring if any are her size.

Mail ran early today and I got my invoice for the chicks that are arriving on Monday.

When I talked the feedstore yesterday they asked me if I thought I could get some ducklings in :/ She told me, "They'll sell real good at Easter."

Um, uh, yea, but if they DON'T sell I'm stuck with them!

So not sure I want to do that or not. I don't want stuck with a bunch of ducklings that I don't need/want/or can use.

FF, I agree! I was feeling guilty about spending time on the forum and away from my family. My kids said something about it. I asked them if they would sit and talk to me about this stuff each evening to fulfill the need I have to fellowship with like-minded folks about my life interests. They decided that they did not wish to be my sounding board! :D

In the absence of good gal friends with whom I have a common ground, the forum fills a need for adult conversations(well, most of them! :p ) and an exchange of ideas. It gives me an outlet for expression. I have a decided lack of avenues for this where I live and in the people that I know.

The boys don't say anything else about it and I limit my time most days to an hour.......or so. :D :gig

Who said you were wasting time typing on a forum? What did I miss?

It's all a part of R&D (research & development).

I'm sure you're tired. But, it's a good kind of tired, right? A kind of tired that assures you got some things accomplished. A kind of tired where you can sit down, put your feet up and look forward to doing again the next day.

That kind of tired is a good feeling. Well, to me anyway.

OH yes, it is definitely a good kind of tired! I wasn't complaining at all! LOL Just need to get used to the extra work, that's all!

I've decided to name my calf Chase. Thinking about naming DH's calf Catch..but he's not too enthused with my choice of name for his calf LOL I thought it was funny.

ETA:

I candled my BBS Orps from Tuffoldhen today. I had to remove 4 that were clear. The rest of them all show development and I saw several chicks swimming around!!

Also, I currently have a Welsummer mixed chick hatching in the hatcher. Bad news, it pipped at the wrong end!! It's hole is large enough that she's poking her beak through and cheeping and working on zipping. Not sure what pipping at the wrong end of the egg means, but I refuse to intervene. She'll either hatch, or she won't.
