Our family motto is "there's no such thing as too much cheese." Growing up on the farm it seemed like every single meal had some kind of meat and some kind of cheese and no, I don't mean american cheese. When I met my first Jewish friend I was appalled that they weren't allowed to eat meat and dairy together.

Wow, that sounds good! Can you pass on the recipe or general guidelines? Any onions or garlic in it?

We usually go to my family's, and mom sets the lunch menu. Honestly, I could easily live without. It's the supper I look forward to, as that's when everybody does their favorite snacky foods! My aunt's are always loaded with garlic and stinky cheese, so it's great!

We usually have squash rolls (mine), cranberry relish, sweetcorn (from our garden), broccoli-cauliflower something or other, really loaded sweet potatoes, bacon-apple stuffing, turkey (this year, one of ours), tons of muffins and other white rolls, green bean casserole, some lettuce salad, piles of cream-cheesy mashed potatoes.

Desserts are way over the top, as my family thinks sugar is one of the main food groups. Pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple pie, lemon-custard pie, a couple cheesecakes, caramel corn, turtles, caramels, cinnamon ice cream (mine) and bowls and bowls of whipped cream. We usually have more than 30 people, so there ARE a lot of folks to eat it all up!
