@sumi - it does seem that they are called different things in different parts of the world - but that's what they are called here. Good to hear from someone who has actually eaten one - and liked it! YAY!

AND - I'm going to attempt to grow some....Instructions seem simple enough: Bury one fruit. That's it pretty much....bury the fruit and the caution that only ONE plant is needed per family.

Don't know about you all but this is pretty much the way things roll around here

I have not tried that variety of squash, but a friend has. They eat a lot of squash, including mock Apple pie made with zucchini

Nothing inherently wrong with a carbohydrate unless you are health and/or weight challenged. DH is a severe diabetic and has to control his carb intake to keep his blood sugar under control.
You still should limit them, imho. Over the long haul, they can hurt you. If you are super active and blessed with a lucky metabolism, you can get away with it. But if your situation changes, now you have to make drastic changes and the clock is ticking

We had the Sausage and Pepper soup that I posted earlier for dinner tonight. I gotta say it's a winner. Of course I changed a few things - not all on purpose... Forgot to use the chili powder....used fresh garlic and onion instead of the powders and dropped in a couple tablespoons of cream cheese at the end. We think it's good and it will go into the list of "make it again" foods!

So carbs aren't good if you sit around and watch TV then - ok. But I run around so fast, fat can't catch up with me - I'm high energy, unless I'm sleeping.

You must be one of the lucky ones that has a fast metabolism.

There's tons of information on Google about carbs and why some folks should avoid them. My DH is a severe diabetic and if he ate carbs willy-nilly he would die. Period. Pretty good incentive for us to be careful. ;) That's one of the reasons I started this thread is to have a place to exchange recipes and ideas with other folks who avoid carbs for whatever reason! :)
