The ram and ewe are both about 2 years old. I was kinda disappointed that they weren't multi horned. Jacobs can get up to 6 horns, but hopefully I will get some multi horned offspring!
Tomorrow I have to call around to find mobile home movers!!!! :bun We have decided that we are going back to our 10 acres. Trying to have a farm on an acre right off a busy highway is just too much trouble. Dh is finally starting to go along with me. He is going to pick up some slicker pet brushes for me to card the wool with after we shear the sheep and maybe he'll let me get another milk goat. I have my eye on some lamancha babies for sale. We talked today about how nice it would be to be somewhere peaceful again. We plan on potentially putting up 2 more greenhouses after we move. The pasture there would aslo be plenty enough for the 2 mini horses and donkey and a couple of sheep and goats. Probably cant go with a cow though unless it were a small breed like a dexter or zebu(I want one of those!). This time I want to go at it differently. Last time we were there it was chaotic. The fences wouldn't hold the animals and they were constantly in the garden, or the shed, or a mile or two up the road. So we are going to need to put in new fences and new sheds, and a barn since the old one is gone. We are probably going to stay there in the camper while we are building and repairing. The mobile home is going to need a lot of work before it is liveable. The ceiling in the hall needs replaced and it needs new plumbing and some new paneling and a thorough scrubbing. The kitchen needs new cabinets and counters. There is no oven in it for some reason, only a rangetop built into the counter. I may keep it and add a whole oven with a range beside it. I also comes with a deepfreeze that is supposed to work. It is a 3 bed 1 1/2 bath, but the bedrooms are kinda small. I may also tear out some walls and maybe move the kitchen all together to the front. Anyway for free it was still a good deal and with a little TLC it could be really nice.
Someone stole our horse trailer and dh was ripped off $250 all in 2 days!!! Our trailer was out in a rented pasture and a friend of ours was going to borrow it, when he got there it was no where to be found. I guess in the morning we will file a police report on it and everything else that has been stolen. The person who did it also cut the fence and slashed one of the horses across the chest. The horse belonged to the person who was going to borrow the trailer. He is going to file the report with us in the morning. I feel like crying.. So much bad has happened in the last month and now this. There was even a house right beside where the trailer was parked. You wouldn't think someone would be that bold.
