On a better note:

DD on her birthday on her wagon dh made her last summer. It actually fits a small 29 inch mini so it is a little small on Goliath. Aren't the two of them precious? Goliath is standing funny for the pic for some reason. Of course he is the sweetest thing. Donkeys rank right up there on preciousness. Jessica had a blast on the wagon, but it was a short ride. I wish we could find someplace to go with the wagons, but without a trailer it will be difficult to transport everything to a place to ride.

Not showing DS!! He'll want to know why all kids born that day don't have a wagon like that. Our wether Thomas could probably be trained to pull one!

Everything we have gets a chance to pull! Our buck pulled a two wheeler cart last summer without a problem. Well, pulling not a problem-stopping was another thing. We held a can of feed in front of him to make him go and he almost went right over me cart and all at a dead run!

While looking at CL, I notice a listing for purebred chicks and Texas A&M quail for $1 each and they are supposed to be set up at the Beebe flea market this weekend. I LOOVE the Beebe sale and haven't been yet this year. Well we are supposed to get dd some chicks this weekend, I mean after all that IS her part of her birthday present.. So I ask dh if he wants to head that way Saturday and explain that they have chicks much cheaper than the $3 at the feed store and that we would save $2 per chick and at 5 chicks it would be $10 saved. He then pointed out that it cost at least $15 in fuel to get there and back, while he goes right beside the feed store everyday to and from work. So we would save nothing and actually be out $5. "That's okay", I explained, "I'll just get more chicks to make up for it!" He just shook his head and walked off. I don't think my reasoning was exactly what he had been thinking. LOL

Today has been a long day. DS and DD had their homeschooling state test today. They were really nervous about it. Both begged to stay home, but of course that wasn't possible. We had to be at the church for their testing by 8:30 so I got up extra(5:30) early just to make sure I didnt oversleep and that I had plenty of time to get everything in order. I LOOVED the church we went to. We have been looking for one that we would all enjoy. I had wanted to visit that one, but dh wouldn't go becuase he had someone there be very rude to him when he did some pest control work there about 10 YEARS ago. He is one that is nice to everyone, but he was very disenchanted with that church after that happened. Anyway, I doubt the person who was rude is still even there after 10 years. So we are going next Sunday. It is the biggest church around and even has it's own gymnasium along with other things. The kids loved it there and had a blast even though they were testing. There were probably 10 students in grades 3-6 each there. After we left there we went yard saleing and then we went to a nursery stand and dd spent her plant birthday money. She came home with a huge hanging tomato basket with tomatoes on it, 2 blooming blueberry bushes, a flat of 6 pack plants and some herbs like chocolate and apple mint, and 2 big tomato plants ready to start blooming that we plan on planting in some topsy turvy planters that I got on sale at the end of the season last year. From there we went on to the feed store where she got 10 barred rock pullets and 5 brown leghorn(or leggern as we call them) pullets. Then we had cake and icecream when we got home. She also got a beautiful wooden mantle clock with a stuffed rabbit painting in the bottom that I picked up at a yard sale while she was testing. I fell in love with it at first site and walked past it twice because I thought the price tag was a misprint. It said $2 and I thought it was supposed to have been $20. Well the third time I couldn't resist picking it up and asking. Needless to say I paid for it immediately. DD loves it. And now I am tired. Tomorrow we plant everything she got. That will be a days work in itself!

We caught some hybrids and a catfish, broke a pole and lost a couple of lures, and had a blast. Somewhere in that huge lake a hybrid or two is swimming around with mine and dh's lures! It is a biggun too! We finally got out the catfish rods when we saw our poor regular rods were no match for the hybrids! The sunset pics are from a different trip on the same lake in a new area.
