nah, you ain't a mean anything, eating that roo was smart. when you have the fights it is best to eliminate the problem. and that is what chickens are for anyway, good eating!

how are you doing? hope all is going good. you sure sound busy. Tony is out hunting this morning. fingers crossed!

Tony is taking it to a processer and having the cuts frozen etc. No canning for me thank goodness. I couldn't can another thing this year...sick of it..HA HA HA

I am glad for you that you do not have to do any processing of the deer. I am really glad it is almost over for me.
Hubby will make the next deer into jerky, then so it lasts really long, I am going to can it.
I am ok, thanks for asking. I just do not have the get up and go....when I get really tired I get really weepy. go figure.

I know what you mean. I am a tad better this morning. still draggy feeling. It starts to get me a little depressed and sad when I am not on "top of my game and full of energy".....it is too long. Long crud sick gets me down big time...but you know, we survive.HA HA

kinda cold dreary day outside. Tony probably freezing his giblets off in that tree stand. Me, inside with the propane fire going...nice....but have to start working hard here in a minute. Gotta get orders out for soap to the post office.

I hope you start feeling better, getting to see an end to the deer, and hopefully get over the fatigue too. That must have been a moose, really, not a deer! And with a chicken break in between!
Dont you wish it was Spring!
What are you doing for Thanksgiving?? Any plans for the Holiday? I hope it includes a rest and someone pitching in?

tfpets, The tunnel will end hopefully tonight. If hubby does what he is supposed to. And he wants to get another deer. I agreed that we could use another one, but he is smoking it.

Dacjohns, I was thinking of the work you have to do now. NOW that you got your deer. *insert hysterical laughter*

Yup, hunting is the easy part. It's what comes after that is work, expecially when you do it yourself.

You sound like you need a mini vacation....or at least a long hot bubble bath!

ROO, oh my ROO. he is my big boy. He is healing nicely yes. But now he is not coming out of the run. I dont know why. He stands just inside the door or just outside the door. Wierd.

JUST ABOUT DONE WITH THE DEERS, LOL.
