Do I dare take another picture out my office window? Today you'd see bright blue skies, green grass, fluffy white clouds....and if you could "feel" a picture you'd feel temperatures in the mid 60's....

We got snow overnight as well, after a day of rain yesterday. Four stupid inches of heavy wet stuff. A real pain to shovel off the driveway, and a real mess on the roads this morning as I took my kids to school. Hope it melts just as quickly as it fell

We always get a mid April snowfall...just when everyone thinks it's over we get hit with a few inches. It usually melts quickly and is my sign that spring really has finally arrived. It is a very rare year that we get snow after this last one, but sometimes it happens...even in July!

April snow showers bring May hail storms. Or maybe that's just Colorado :D

No not just CO, here too.

Yesterday we had 2 hail storms and I think it was last week it started to snow just enough to cover the bbq, then it rained it away. The local news said the snow was dropping to 1500' level in the Sound area so we might be getting SD's snow later today or tonight. Luckily we live at the 500' level, so it will just be a cold rain for us here...Oh boy, just what I need MORE COLD RAIN. I'll be surprised if any of the early spring crops survive without rotting in the ground. So far I've only seen my spinach, onions, cabbage, broccoli (under a tunnel), bok choy sprout, but no carrots, parsnips, lettuces or potatoes. I'm hoping they are just slower than usual, except for the taters-they've probably rotted in the mud. :hit

Well it stopped falling finally. Now it is just a picture perfect winter day.

Trouble helped fix the rabbit pen, one was out! Thank goodness he caught it. Yay Trouble. He still is not redeemed though. :somad I'm dreaming up yucky chores for him to do.

We had thunderstorms here all night last night. Too bad I don't have any seeds in the garden yet. :/

Trouble returned to school today, and we have mud again of course. I did not make him finish the goat pen, but there is always the weekend. If he thinks he is done being punished he has some things to learn still.....:somad

I'm off to my mom's today......shopping this afternoon, getting hay. I feel a little spinny so I hope that doesn't manifest itself today, wish me luck!

Trouble will have to milk the goats when he gets home so perhaps I should be wishing HIM luck. Last time he had the helpful neighbor boy over to assist, but this time he is GROUNDED.

And yes, the lovely white snow melted and we have mud, mud, mud! I hate winter! I want it to go away NOW! This is more like our February weather. Spring needs a good swift kick in the butt, just like Trouble, to get their act in gear! :tongue
