Well I know I'd be a basket case without you guys.
OFG your dart board and chocolate chips sound like a capital idea, but in all seriousness, I am happy on one hand, happy I don't have to drag myself out and face another day that is just too dang hard. Staying home is comfortable and MUCH less stressful. I do have Computer Nerd at home. He works from home and is a great comfort to me. I always know I can call on him or ask him to help me if needed. He is my great kid. The other two are still a work in progress, especially Trouble, but Computer Nerd is already Mr. Nice Guy.
I'm actually sitting here with my Raisin Bran and milk and cheap instant coffee and it seems grand. The view from my window is awesome! When the leaves are off of the trees, I can see the contours of the whole mountain and even see my neighbors's homes peeking through the trees. The sunrise is visible in the winter too and was very pretty this morning.
And it is still less than 400 dogs, our foster number only comes to 400 when you add cats (358 dogs is the current actual count). We are now on the wait list for a rhodesian ridgeback foster when one needs a place to go so we are back in the swing of that, but the pace will be incredibly slow after our former rescuing exploits. We used to do two at a time and now we will probably do two a year. To us, that feels like we have stopped but I know that is more "normal" especially considering our income and my health.
Hubby was so sweet yesterday, too. I told him when he works I was planning on working on projects around the house. He looked at me like I was crazy. He said I'm supposed to be resting, not getting things done and it should have nothing to do with his schedule.
Lori, you have friends, you have us, and me.
