Thanks for letting me know that, I figured it was something like that. Good luck to both of you with your upcoming kiddings. I will be watching and waiting for pics.

Morning!! Just checked them on the cam & everyone's sleeping. Thanks for the info about the "finger rule" Jav - I thought she was saying 2 as in baby #2! I saw her hold up 1 finger for the first baby and 2 for the 2nd, so I had no idea she was actually saying #1 was a boy and #2 was a girl. I missed the part where she held up 2 fingers for the third!

Shadow Paints also has a doe who'll be kidding really soon, so I'll be watching that one too.

Holy cow! Came home to two kids! Ginger seemed to have had her kids about 1/2 hour before we got home. My son was here but didn't see it happen...she gave birth to two rather quickly.

I have a doeling and a buckling....I think.....I've never sexed a newborn goat. But their genitalia is DIFFERENT. And I think I feel two teats on the doeling.....yay!

I'm not sure Ginger is done.

Her placenta is hanging from her hooey! Dragging in the dirt. We are getting the kids to nurse and they are doing great but what about that nasty dirty placenta hanging there?

Anyone reading this please let me know. I'm leavin' it alone for now but want to know what to do if she does not expel it soon. I am also not 100 percent sure she is done.

The two I have are black and white like a pinto pony. We are taking their first pictures and I gave Ginger some water with molasses.

I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone help me a little bit with sexing? I can't believe I'm finding it hard. But one has a big sac like thing hanging down behind the umbilicus. The one I think is a doeling does not and she has what feels like a little udder. So she is a doeling, right? I thought it would be much more obvious. But whatever they are, they are not alike so I think I have one of each.

PS: Ginger has to have had them at least a week early as she was not put with the buck at the same time as Molly (Molly should have gone first). Should I do anything special for early babies?

SD that's GREAT! Mom will likely eat the placenta when she's done :sick She needs the nutrition, but it is gross. Sounds like she is doing just fine though!!!! Maybe there is another, but unless she is having issues I'd leave her be.

The sack is what you think it is...little boys jewels ;) CONGRATS!!!!!!

:celebrate :celebrate :weee

Are you still there? The placenta seems to still be hanging.

Also, she keeps pawing and pawing the ground and circling. I think she isn't done? She keeps pawing the babes and we have to keep pulling them away.

I MILKED GINGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But she isn't standing still for the kids to nurse, she keeps pawing the ground..............????

Scrub your arms and take a feel inside.
You will know if there is another in there right away, and should be able to sort out end for end.
