She got in there and couldn't find another baby. But she keeps having contractions. Could that just be her uterus returning to its' normal size? She seems fine and there was no signs of bleeding. Could my wife just thought she felt something moving around in there? Maybe she has gas or the uteras is shrinking?

Ok good. Probably rumen she felt.
Give her some mollasses water and let her rest.
Just peek in at them every little bit.

Other than the contractions how is she? Still foot stamping? Panting, laying, standing? Letting the other kids nurse? Is this her first time kidding? If you didn't feel another kid in there, she may be ready for a little quiet time.

Hi, it is savingdogs this time.

She SLEPT for a little while right before we tried to reach inside. When I felt inside, I felt like a came to a back "wall" kind of thing. She did not bleed at all. I was trying to be gentle but she was bawling and having contractions. Afterwards the rest of the placenta finally came out.

She is still doing a little pawing but not quite as much. She DID nurse both kids pretty well I think and I milked a little but it is hard. She keeps moving out of position. She kicks at the kids a little I think on accident, she adores them.

She is a first freshener. I have just my son out there quietly keeping watch at the moment. We put a heat lamp over the kidding stall and I think she appreciate it. It was cold and rainy when she started.

The two kids are doing awesome. If nothing else I got two beautiful babes here. Blue eyes, both black and white like their AUNT. The doeling has only two teats (YEA! Ginger is four-teated).

Ginger seems to be resting a little better.

Hubby and I are Hi-fiving. We could not have done it without you guys, thanks so much!!!!!!!!!! I can't tell you how reassuring it was to have somewhere to ask.

By the way, we have no local all night goat vet. So you guys were it! The only all night vet around here that sees goats is a total hack place and not I would pay them to kill my goat (they kill everything). Seriously, everyone around here has sued them. So we had no vet option at that time of day.

This one needs a name still....but we are NOT keeping him. So not a "keeper" name.

They both look like their AUNT, not their mom and dad, except their aunt is solid and their dad was chocolate and white. Both seem to have their dad's blue eyes also.
