The only car I've ever owned that had a name was my baby, Jimmy Buffet, the 89 Jimmy I bought from my brother. I cried the day we sold it 2 yrs ago.

My DH (who wasn't DH yet) and I drove it from Cali to NC 9 years ago. He flew out to Cali, we loaded up all my belongings and a month later we got married. We had been friends since we were 15 & 16. I moved but we kept in touch.

When we sold it, it was like losing a piece of our history. :/

My first car was a 1969 Pontiac Executive. I called it the Junker. My first truck was a Dodge D50 sport. It was made my Mitsubishi, so I called it the Mitsubishi mobile. I used to have a white, Taurus wagon. I had this when I was in college. It was hard to find a parking spot, and it wasn't unusual to find someone coming out of school, and following them to their car so you could get their parking spot. So, since I felt predatory in the car, I started to call it the Great White.

I have a Mitsubishi Mirage and a Chevy Pickup. From time to time, they both share the name "You Worthless Piece of Scrap Metal on Wheels".

lol.....it seems rather universal that our vehicles can have disparaging names.............

My hubby has a thing for Cherokees and I have hated each one. I am afraid I cannot share my names for them in public. :hide

Ours don't have names, but I talk to them nonstop going down the road. Sometimes we have long in-depth converstations. I'm not crazy, I promise!
