Luna is munching on greens and the cats are catching chipmunks! No flowers yet but we should be seeing ice pansies in the stores soon.
Already seeing them over this way. A few of the smaller nurseries have they out and saw them at WalMart right at the doors today.

My gardens are almost uncovered from snow. I can't wait to get out and start raking and being able to plan out more flower plantings in them (see how close my winter plans are).
i keep checking the home depot who always have them but nothing as of yet! i remember last year they had them out in march in bowmanville because i bought a whole load to plant when we sold the house.

going to oshawa tomorrow so i'll pick some up if they have them.

I went out to the swamp behind my house to feed the deer tonight and noticed that the skunk cabbage is sprouting.

The cranes are back. I love their haunting call.

The south slope garden was soft and workable, so it got planted today with most of my spring stuff. Then, I trudged through snow on the north slope to gather maple sap. Go figure. So glad for that south slope!

Now, it's snowing a bit here.

I keep forgetting things.

Redbuds are starting to bloom.

Pond turtles are out basking on sunny days.

Little spring wildflowers are blooming.

Flies, ants, spiders, and all those other critters are becoming more abundant.
