My kids went back to school today but on a 2 hr delay. Then my son calls to tell me the bus is 15 min late. At 25 min late I call the bus garage and they tell me she got stuck in a driveway and is running at least 15 min late. Well it's 9* in my coop this morning according to our thermometer so I sent the kids back into the house and told them to just watch out the window until the bus gets there.

It is nothing but ice for us here to with a dusting of snow on top, we have to skate out to the coops and to the bunnies.

Maybe you can ski this weekend, they should have enough snow made to cover the ice by then.

At least today(Thursday) the sun is shining and the salt is starting to melt stuff a little bit. The ice covered snow that is then covered by more snow, makes life interesting to say the least!

The skiing has been absolutely spectacular this season!! They finally got most of the ice off the roads, so travel is much improved!
The tomatoes in the greenhouse project finally gave up and croaked, but the lettuce is still going strong. Next year will be MUCH better!!

I had a Dr. appointment this morning, normal 6 month checkup, and the blood work I had done a couple of days ago came back a little off. He says I am borderline diabetic. Fasting blood sugar was 110, at least I think that's what he said. So.......looks like we hit the diet and the gym even more seriously than what I have been. I already gave up the beer the first of the year, and it looks like wine is next on the list. The weight has GOT to go down and that means NO ALCOHOL!

I'm sure a little moderation will help w/weight loss - just stay away from those ski lodge bars!
