Well..........we are at a level 2 storm, roads are drifted shut and folks are getting stuck in the drifts. Sounds like a perfect day to have a funeral. I hate funerals, but this is one that I can't miss, unless they cancel it.

yeah, a good day isn't a good day for a funeral, but this is awful. My brother is supposed to be moving from Hilliard to Delaware (the city, not state) today and we were going to help. Um, I don't think so now bro.

The funeral is for my best friends mother. She passed Monday morning early. Had been in poor health for a long time(Alzheimers) so in a way it is a blessing for the family. Still sucks though. My friend just called and is thinking about postponing the funeral for a day or two since the weather is sooooo crappy.

It is bad here too. The dogs don't even want to go outside. I have a drift in my turnaround that is almost to my waist. The wind is terrible and it is still snowing. I hope it lets up soon. It stinks going out to the barn.

I would think it would be better to postpone the funeral. It just is too bad out there. I'm glad your friend's mother is finally at peace.

AAAAhhhh yup it stinks but life sure moves forward.

my best friend's mom passed just after Xmas. I know it is hard no matter the sickness length or age. Losing is hard!

if that weather is super bad postpone would be safe for everyone.

We just got the word that they are NOT going to cancel. It seems the cemetery she is to be buried in, is the ONLY one in the area that remained open today. The Wife and I are going to go get the church ready for the family gathering after the funeral, so we get out of doing the cemetery thing.

My gawd I wish this storm would let up a little bit. Still snowing and blowing like crazy. Amoy West rd still hasn't seen a plow yet today. This morning on my way back from the gym, there was 4 cars in the ditch in a 2 mile stretch of that road. Ugh.

True dat! She was a very well loved lady. 88 years young. Full of grace and I don't think she every had an unkind word for anybody. She was a simple farm woman that had a very rough life. It is going to be rough for my friend(her youngest son) He has taken care of her for the past 8 years. His wife asked me to kinda watch over him for a few days. He is lost........
