I'm sure a little moderation will help w/weight loss - just stay away from those ski lodge bars! :hide

I love that picture of you, btw!

Hey, sorry to hear that. At least you don't have to go right on meds or something.

We will be out around 10:15-10:30am on Saturday. Hopefully that is ok. I will have goats in the back of the truck! Once I drop Mike off, I'm heading down to Cincinnati with the goats. But if your wife is home and wants to see some 3 week old babies, I will have them with me. So this time I AM bringing goats with me. :D

well SKR borderline means you can easily correct the problem!
so that is the good part of it! My MIL was borderline, then had to go onto pills, now she takes the shots in the tummy. Yup, she would not correct her diet. She eats a loaf of white bread a day practically LOL

You got the lab results, now you fix it LOL

HEY I WANT SOME of that Jack D sorbet! Dish me up a full cup with a spoon and let me have at it!

We always knew you were a sweetie :gig

Watch those bad carbs....rice, potatoes, pasta, bread, crackers...all jack with your insulin levels. Go heavy on the veggies, easy on the fruit and enjoy nice cheeses and good meats :thumbsup

I had a Dr. appointment this morning, normal 6 month checkup, and the blood work I had done a couple of days ago came back a little off. He says I am borderline diabetic. Fasting blood sugar was 110, at least I think that's what he said. So.......looks like we hit the diet and the gym even more seriously than what I have been. I already gave up the beer the first of the year, and it looks like wine is next on the list. The weight has GOT to go down and that means NO ALCOHOL! :hit
That was me last year. Bloodwork showed I was officially "prediabetic". My naturopath recommended a low carb diet and exercise (okay I do better with the diet part) and guess what? My blood sugar now tests normal!!! So take heart! You can get control of the situation! Good luck!! :D

That, and getting a good raw cod liver oil will also send the diabetes packing.
Dh is type 1, and even though that cannot be cured, he no longer has any issue with wounds of any kind taking forever to heal or getting infected, since he started the FCLO.
We also have a man at church who was right on the edge, and the only change he made, was to start taking the FCLO.
One month later, he was declared free of all diabetes concerns.
