Good to hear your back at the gym. It's important to take care of yourself. so what kind of exercising are you doing?

I need to walk up and down my driveway more. It's great for getting my heart pumping.

I did just over 30 minutes of cardio(treadmill and rowing machine) and about 20 minutes on the weight machines. I also signed up for a "muscle mania" class. It is 2 days a week and 45 minutes each. I love the instructor that is running this class. She ran a "boot camp" style workout that I was in for over 3 years until they dropped it. That was about the time I quit going to the gym. I really missed that class and the workouts that Carol put on.

We've been thinking about joining the YMCA after we sell our house. The kids love the pool there and every time we go to the library across the street they ask me when they can go to the "big pool"

I have to admit that working out in public is kind of intimidating for me. I would like to drop about 15-20 lbs off my butt and thighs but I guess I gotta work with what genetics gave me!

Hope you aren't too sore!

I need to be doing cardio. Otherwise my heart murmur will get stronger LOL. Have to kick it's a$$.

I'm better about it in the summer when I can take long walks more often. Once it gets dark and it's cold I'm hard to motivate out of the house :D

And YES! Only a LITTLE. Like the ocean is a little wet.

I go to the "gym" several days a week. I muck stalls. I move hay around. I split firewood. That's good enough for me.

SKP8PN, I lost 25 lbs just by changing my diet. I wasn't trying to lose weight, my hubby was. But in the year's time that he wanted to try to eat more meatless dinners, I dropped the weight. He lost maybe a pound or 2. And, 2 years later, I haven't gained it back. So, if I can do it w/out trying, I'm sure you can do it by trying.

My GAWD but are my legs sore today! After hitting the gym yesterday morning, then working all day, The Wife decided we needed to go skiing last evening. Skied for about 2 hours non-stop and stayed OUT of the bar(part of mt diet) The Wife was kind enough to let me sleep in this AM, but the Swamp Collie had other plans for my morning  and got my up just before 8:00. The walk to the back door to let her out, was more like a hobble :gig

I am "on the wagon" for a few weeks until I get this weight back under control, and we have cut our serving sizes back to where they should have been all along. In addition to losing the beer ( :hit ) and wine :)hit ) we are also cutting out the flavored coffee creamers that we love, and stopping all snacking. That and working out again, should be enough to get me back on the right track.
