I am "on the wagon" for a few weeks until I get this weight back under control, and we have cut our serving sizes back to where they should have been all along. In addition to losing the beer ( :hit ) and wine :)hit ) we are also cutting out the flavored coffee creamers that we love, and stopping all snacking. That and working out again, should be enough to get me back on the right track.
My SIL was so impressed with my weight loss (45 lbs) that she's gone on the no-alcohol diet as well. I'm also on the no-snack, no-dessert diet. I eat when I'm bored, so as long as I keep myself busy, I'm fine. :D

I have had a problem during football season...how can you watch football & not drink & snack...?? :idunno

;-)

so - are you at the gym today or you cant walk over to your puter b/c of yesterday?

happy wednesday!
:)
I was back in the gym this morning, little miss smarty-pants. :plbb

I must admit, I only got in about 5 minutes on the treadmill because my shins were killing me! I had to use the PreCor machine and the rowing machine instead. Then I hit about 1/2 dozen of the weight machines before heading back home. We are going skiing again this evening, so I will prolly be one hurtin' puppy in the morning.......... again!

Today the workout went MUCH better! I managed 20 minutes on the treadmill and another 20 minutes on the PreCor machine.
20 minutes on a treadmill may not sound like much, but I have short legs, and I crank the elevation way up and set the speed at 4.0. That is a pretty brisk clip for an old fat man with a bad heart! :gig
Plus, The Wife and I have been skiing every night this week. I am starting to feel like my old self again! Now, if the weight would just start melting off..........

Downhill baby! I have a NEED for SPEED! :celebrate

We mostly go to SnowTrails Ski Resort. It is only about 15 minutes from the house. We have a locker there so all of our gear is inside, warm and dry. We drive down in our ski clothes, then just jump in our boots and ski's and we are off!

We also hit Boston Mills and Brandywine a couple of times a season.

I have skied Snowshoe in West Virginia, and Seven Springs in PA. I REALLY want to go out west sometime before I die.

Ahhh Memories.

When my dh and I first started dating he taught me to golf and I taught him to snowboard. I understand that adrenaline rush. :D

We used to snowboard a lot. Boulder, Heavenly, Kirkwood.

Then there were many years at our local resorts. I think the last time we went it was my 36th b day. I manage not to kill myself.

Someday I hope we can go again.

bwahahaha. My legs are so long that I walk 4.0 on my "i'm in a bit of a hurry" walk. I loved the treadmill just for learning that. I'm still walking at 4.5.

Definitely gotta come ski out this way. We have very many feets of snow at the resorts right now.

5.5 and I have to bust into a light jog with my short stubby legs!!
6.5 to 7.0 is a dead run...and the dead is ME, not the treadmill!! :gig

Anything over about a 160 heart rate and my heart goes into either ventricular tachycardia or supraventricular tachycardia, depending on it's mood. Basically I have a built in rev limiter. :gig

If it weren't for the heart murmur, I'd jog. As it is, I prefer sprinting. Run FULL OUT til the heart gives :D

Anaerobic hurts less than aerobic and it's FUN!! It feels like flying :)

Walk until the heart doesn't hurt and then run again. I can do about three before I'm dizzy even walking and decide the murmur hates me again LOL!!!

edited for typo
