Glad you didn't get swept away! Maybe the cabin won't be so bad Lots of prefab stuff is pretty decent..at minimum better than a travel trailer. I sure don't miss living in one full time!!!

Several folks out here have prefab places. The crazy lady up the road has a very nice one. I didn't even realize that it was prefab 'til she told me.

I know it's going to happen soon Snap! Glad you didn't need to break out your oars!!

LOL! I can hardly wait til I'M the crazy lady up the road!!!!!!! Of course, no one here understands canning while in a travel trailer so maybe that ship has sailed!!!

Just getting on the computer now at almost 10 am! Been cooking since 7. Made a corn pudding, scalloped potatoes, meatloaf and cornbread. Also made burger and rice for the dogs food. I have plenty of vegies to go along. Yesterday, I pulled out ham to make ham and scalloped potatoes and it turned out to be a hambone. So I made split pea soup in the crockpot. Used a little ham in the breakfast burrito filling. So, cooking is done for almost a week! And I'm pooped!!!!

Tomorrow I am visiting with my sisiter in law and it is laundrey day so I am glad I won't cook also!

Our auto insurance is about to run out so we went to the agency and they still won't take the RV park as an address. We've been here with correct DL and tags for 9 months and they think we don't live here. I read on another thread about USAA insurance so I will check that out and then call my insurance company direct and see which has the better price. My company said they can probably take care of the move over the phone without an agent the last time I called.

No word on a home yet. DH brought 2 wooden pallets and some straw to try to make our front path walkable. Now it kinda looks like we are having a square dance in the front yard!

Now to read a little and then take a nap!

Buddy just had seizure! Scared us half to death! We were sleeping and he seized up, yelping and didn't seem to be breathing. Passed pretty quick and I have been on the computer at earthclinic.com doing research for an hour and a half. Don't think I will go visit my sister in law tomorrow. One of the things to help is coconut oil and I will check the ingredients in our dog food but I think that will be ok. The treats have BHA which is a preservative known to cause seizures so out they go! When he came out of it I gave him an allergy pill of mine which is more for anxiety than anything else. The sites says to give them valium which I don't have. Guess I will read a few minutes and then try to go back to sleep.

He's perfectly normal this morning--ate all his breakfast, alert, etc... I noticed yesterday evening that he was panting and staying right by my side. After reading last night, that is a precursor to a seizure. You bet I will watch for it now! Buddy is just pure unconditional love in a 24 pound package!!!!!!
