I got the $7 flourescents from WalMart for my seed starting adventures. They work well. For future referrence, it doesn't have to be a "grow" light for it to work for that. I checked the labelling for the grow light versus the regular old flourescent they were selling at WalMart...EXACT same thing, except for the price ;)

Just a quick note - I already have 12 mortgage lifter tomato plants, 3 beets, 1 pak choi and a whole bunch of chinese cabbage popping up in my cheapy greenhouse, even though I just planted them Tuesday! :woot :bun I got veggie babies :bun Now, to keep them alive and healthy long enough to get them in the ground!

Spent a big chunk of today doing our shopping. We go to the 'really big city' a ways away and buy our Sam's Club and Aldi's stuff three times a year. That means we have to buy four months worth of stuff at a time and, other than being a painful hit to the wallet, it usually isn't an issue. We got LOTS of dirty looks at Aldi's, but no comments. At Sam's it was a very different story, oddly enough. The cashier's (we got TWO, cuz we had too much stuff for one, I guess) kept pestering my scary to look at husband about his buying habits!! I was floored! The people hawking free food throughout the store stop mid sentence and turn pale at the sight of him, but these crazy cashier's just kept asking question after question! At least he took it in good humor - just kept telling them that we've ALWAYS done it this way; that, if they had one closer than an hour and a half away from us, we'd probably shop more frequently and the business we own paints bridges, it's NOT a restaurant. :p In all the YEARS we've done it this way, this is the first time I've left there feeling like a hoarder or prepper or whatever! :barnie

Testing was done quickly this morning, and I didn't feel like total crapola, sooooo I went to the courthouse and filed the paperwork on our squatters!! Yay me!

The push over the edge came the other day, in the mail. In response to our 2ND notice of forfeiture, they sent us a very nice letter. It thanked us for our patience, as they 'tried to get financing so they could own it outright', then said that they would like US to determine present market value, because THAT seems to be what they were willing to pay (not the amount stated on the contract they signed!). They then told us that WE needed to send THEM proof that WE are current in OUR mortgage payments on the property!!!!! This from the people who haven't made a single payment in NINE months! :rant :somad :tongue I told DH, if I had to crawl to the courthouse, I would be filing the next set of documents to make them get OUT! :somad He stopped me before I fired a letter back saying "I pay my bills, you squatters!" :tongue

It was very difficult to file. I had to leave and come back twice, go to 3 different departments and two buildings before I found the right one, have my purse thoroughly searched and believe it or not, the process server does NOT accept cash (she said she needs the paper trail, which I guess makes sense). But I feel much better now. Just 4-5 more months, and they will have to leave :p Or, they pay what they owe in arrears and we start the silly dance all over again

So, no bear sighting. I did, however, scare the tar out of the lady who was testing me. Apparently, she knew nothing about said bear, and was very freaked out about my little tale :hide

OK. FINALLY got the results back on the preliminary cancer screening tests. Guess you know what's coming now...

:bun :bun :bun :bun Back up everybody! Cindi's doing the wide glide back side dance!!! :bun :bun :bun :bun

It came back normal! I now have documentation to stick in the face of everybody that thinks I'm a total freak! I'm normal, and HERE'S my paperwork to prove it! Where's YOUR paperwork saying YOU'RE normal?! Huh, where is it?!

So, I'm still sick, but that is such a huge weight off my shoulders. Thank you God for answered prayers, even for slackers like me!

:woot
