Wow, I am just catching up on your busy week. The new goat baby is just adorable. You are doing such an amazing job with the feeding and diapers and all. You are a very good goat Mommy.

I am glad your lecture went well, sounds like you really enjoyed the break.

Thanks for sharing.

I just got caught up on all of it. WOW, you did great with the delivery!!! It is amazing what we can do, when we have to, isn't it?
I really appreciate the detailed story. Plum is adorable. I really hope it works out that Ginger will let her nurse.
You sure seem to be doing everything in your power to make it so.
Good luck to you with it.
I gave my two their tetanus booster today. I had to do it by myself, since SO gets too nervous

ok all of that is so cute i cant stand it!

while i didnt have anyone pee on anyone else.... i started taking Debbie's milk and rubbing it on the mini-pops (when Nibbles wouldnt nurse them) I actually think it helped.

we tricked Debbie by putting her on the stand, using a bucket to milk for a second, then letting the little ones take a swig. The Big Man would stand in front of Debbie and feed her one piece of corn at a time and sing her a little song. it totally worked - Debbie let them nurse as much as they wanted... but then Debbie will do anything for corn. of course it took me over a week to get her back into shape.

Nibbles made those weird grunty noises at her babies - when she did that and tried to stomp them we knew we were doomed.

one thing you might consider is giving your gal some B vitamins to help get her appetite back. remember that Debbie had a bad spell and didnt eat (then she nearly flopped over dead)...the Vit B was what fixed her. so a few days ago she didn't want to eat so we gave her more Vit B and she was perked up by dinner.

and i love your creative use of chickens!
:)
