Nothing worse than a hot drought. It brings back bad memories. I am so sorry for you and your little goaties!

My computer is still waiting to be fixed too. I'm putting it off b/c I hate sitting on the phone with a tech that I barely understand. OTOH, I'm getting so much done around here I don't miss my old computer much.

Well I miss chatting with you on Yahoo, Sally!

Monique, I read through the thread again, the part about the hernia.. Can you refer me to your post about it on BYH? I think I have the same problem!!

Donki is a fussy one too. She won't eat anything from my hand except raisins. I did get her wormer down her, using molasses like you did. I don't think it was quite as smooth as your dosing though.
The kids gobbled it down thankfully. As shy as they can be, if I have treats they just loooooove me!

Yeah, I was a little worried that with six bits a day for three days, that Peach and the buckling would run from me before long and be traumatized. Not so. They really enjoyed it. Silly kids.

I have been thinking of naming the buckling. All I can think of when I look at him is Bambi....not appropriate for a big, strong breeding buck, and he won't be a baby for long! So I am toodling with the idea of JD, or Dorian, short for John Dorian, the main character in the tv comedy Scrubs. Nurse Carla called JD Bambi as a pet name. Dorian would be an unusual name for a goat, and still manly enough for a buck! :p
Hmmm, I knew a guy in college whose nickname was Bambi (abbreviation of his last name). His first name was Greg. Not a very goaty name....
Alpines remind me of deer also. I can't repeat what I called the one that almost jumped in front of me yesterday....

Dorian is a great name!

I don't know what defines a name as goaty, but this year's girls that we're keeping are named Shalene, Marichka, Zarela, and Morgandy. :p

You don't want to know what names I had picked out for bucks!
