I've seen in many places too ... Sometimes three crosses, and sometimes one. I have driven across the US coast to coast several times, and I always wanted to take pics of the ones I saw on the way.

Just wanted to point out though, this one wasn't like that. The ones I've always noticed were just that -- to BE noticed. This one I posted was nearly impossible to see and I talked to people who drove by it often and never knew it was there. Even after telling them, they cant even find it because it's so hard to spot and is on the peak of one of a series of many mountaintops. That was the longest zoom I could get, from the road below. You can't even see the ridge I mentioned that runs all the way up, it's so close (compared to viewing from the road below with naked eye).

I do love seeing those crosses on the highway as I'm driving ... The permanent ones put up to be seen by all. :)

What does it feel like physically when you folks feel the presence of the Holy Spirit? Can you describe it? I'm wondering if we all feel the same feeling.... :)
Interesting question to be asking. :)

A warm flush, of varying intensity ... poured down from around the shoulders/neck and spreading lower down the back. It tingles the nerve endings. It feels like something very warm, an invisible liquid feeling washing down over myself, sometimes in waves, that brings a sense of peace, love, comfort, assurance, protection.

At different times, maybe accompanied by tingling hands or lips/tongue.
Sometimes it's more an electric feel then, and more energizing rather than comforting.

I wonder ... DO other people feel the same thing???

Once during worship, I felt something powerful. Like my heart burst, but in a good way .... it was as if I was taken into another place, and everything inside of me built up and exploded, and went straight up ... it was the most delicious feeling I've ever had in my life, but it only happened that way once.

Often though I have something similar, but MUCH less pronounced, where it seems to swell up inside of me and burst forth. Very joyous feeling. That other time was like being taken into another place, though and ... hard to explain, but it was MORE. :)

There are many places in OH and WV that I've seen groupings of three crosses on hillsides and mountains. I read about them years ago...some fellow decided to make that his mission in life to remind people about Jesus.
I still do a double take everytime I log onto SS. The three wind turbines in the banner at the top always seem to look like crosses to me and the script looks "biblical"... :)

Great question Bee.....

I get an overwhelming feeling of sheer joy, my heart is just full to bursting and I feel like I am just walking on air....all is perfect in the world and no one can do wrong. I just love that feeling and the more time I spend in the word the more often I feel it.

Shiloh, you described it exactly as I would have! I was wondering if I just had a release of endorphins triggered by emotionalism but it sounds as if you, BB and I have similar physical symptoms.

I feel it in warm, tingling waves from the top of my head down the entire length of my body with an extra warmth in the middle of my chest.

Most of the time I am alone and reading scripture or a book about the Lord and what He has done in other people's lives. Other times it may happen when I pray or am singing a song of praise. Sometimes I start to cry, no matter how much I try to not do so...I just cannot help it.

I also experience what Dace describes. Some days I awaken with thankfulness on my tongue and my eyes on the sky. I feel like I'm walking on sunshine and everything is in sharper focus. On those days my heart is ever joyful and thanking the Lord for every little thing. Those days it is hard to keep a smile off my lips or the twinkle from my eyes!

I am so glad that we have similar experiences! It tells me I'm on the right track and not just being an oversensitive cry baby or a giddy fool! :D

Now I know it's just a family trait! :)

I can't imagine, having felt that feeling once, why anyone would not want it again and again! Do you think people who wander far from God simply forget that feeling? I know that, in the years I wasn't walking a good path, I felt so alone and bereft from not feeling that flush of love.

A lot like an adrenaline rush infused with pure joy. No tingling here that I recall, just happiness that I can't find anywhere else. :hu Nothing else makes me feel that way, and I don't ever want the feeling to end, and when it does start to subside...I immediately feel a loss and a longing for that feeling, that closeness to Him. If I could walk around with that all day every day I rather think folks wouldn't like me...I'd be "too bubbly" for everybody  I do thoroughly enjoy it though :)
