To tell the truth, I was never one that really gave to overseas missions and always thought missions should start at home. I've tried to follow through with that these past 3 years here and met one hard heart and big wall after another.

I think God was trying to show me something. Americans have plenty of help...they have freedom of religion, freedom to access any religious materials they wish, they have financial help through welfare, social security, various and sundry agencies and private Christian organizations that will help and even get government grants to help.

And? They are hard-hearted to the message they are so free to partake of. It took hard lessons for me to see that. The final evidence was the thread about the people who were killed by pirates and how callous we Americans were about their endeavors and a few recent happenings at work that finally convinced me that my efforts would be better put to use where people are more eager to receive the message of God's love.

Imagine wanting to learn about God but being unable to get His Word, no freedom to freely worship or fellowship in His name or be able to profess to be a follower? THOSE are the people I want to help.

Prayer and the answering of is a close subject to my heart and it ties right into my answer to prayer for guidance for my life....what next, Lord? What can I do for you? You've done so much for me and now, at the end of our age, what can I do for you before I meet you face to face?

I posted the details on my journal here, but the basic news is the agreed it's very possibly asthma, and he did write me a prescription for Albuterol for her so that if she gets back to a life-threatening situation, I have something to give her. I need to figure out HOW to do it, but I'm working on a muzzle cup, and I feel very relieved! She means a lot to me, and it stressed me more than I realized to think I was about to lose her. Thanks for asking! :)

I will pray to the father so that he may send you faith. I also pray the eternal spirit will abide in you through your journey.

I am in need of some more prayers for problems at home. I don't really want to go into it, but within the next few days to the next couple of months we are taking a big risk for someone we love and we need the Lord to be with us and him during this time and help him to have the strength to do the right thing.

Rebecca, my prayers are towards you and the person you are taking a risk for.

My writting skills are very poor and I am very aware of this so I am hoping this does not sounds radical or negative because of my wording but I am going to say what I think.

Beekissed, I know we are blessed here at home but I do feel we are slipping away as a nation from our God. you only have to look at our goverment and see how God is being removed from us. It is a slow process but it is happening and once this has happened we to will be in need of missionaries. Many of the books of the bible tell of this happening and we will be no different. I think we have taken it for granted the freedom we once have and now how do we preserve it instead of waiting for us to completly lose our freedom to worship and have to fight to get it back? I hope this makes sense.

I get that way sometimes and it just flows out. I have led prayer at the middle school Veterans day program twice now and already signed on for next year.
