Well after collecting my thoughts for a good long while I figured I may as well post some in here on today's study. Here is what I got from it:
The first 6 verses just basically reinforces that Christ is the way, not the law.
the next 9 verses, particularly verse 14 sums it up
"you shall love your neighbor as yourself"
Who are our neighbors? There is a whole world full of them out there. We have been made free by the blood of Christ, and by the spirit of Him who lives in us, should make us to be Christlike to everyone else. We have already recieved the key to the kingdom, and should want everyone else to have such peace as we do. Love does not force itself...in verse 22&23
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self control. Against such things, there is no law.
In these attributes is where we find our freedom. In these attributes is where, if we strive for these things, we will grow to "Love our neighbors as ourselves." Walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh, is difficult at times because we get caught up in the things of the flesh, things of this world. We have to dilligently seek Gods will in everything and maintain our focus on Him to reach this goal.
I have enjoyed Galatians!!!!!!!
