If I didn't have the generator working, I wouldn't be on here! There's some wind, but it's not too bad, yet.

My computer is freaking out again. There's no sign of a virus, so it must be bad circuits. If i disappear, it will be a catastophic computer failure. It's doing really bizarre, Jim Morrison type things. It reminds me of Windows '95, and i want to smash this Microsoft turd with an axe. When this computer dies, i'm going to wait another ten years to buy a new one, and it's going to be an Apple computer. Microsoft sucks! I'm tired of IE crashing, and locking up my computers. Eff Microsoft! Windows 7 is almost as bad as ATT. I hate Microsoft! It's just a bad hack of Job's software. If had any money at all, i'd sink in Apple stock. These crappy microsoft computers are going to fade in
Ditch Internet Explorer. Use Firefox instead - much better.
Or download Linux for free. Apple stuff is a variation of Linux.
We switched this computer to Firefox and it improved things tremendously. I recommend that as well. I thought this computer was crashing until we did that.

The GEEK says that Firefox, AdBlock plus and AVG are all great products that solve tons of troubles. We also use Spybot for cleaning days. :thumbsup

I like using Oprea for my browser. Keyboard is working for now, but it's very iffy. It must be a bad cord, or something in the hardware. Ive checked for viruses and the computer is clean. I'll get a new keyboard when i can. If you see me online but not posting anything, you'll know my keyboard is down again.

My computer almost never works anymore. It let me make one post right after i turned it on today, but then the keyboard shut down. I'll come here to the library from time to time, but don't expect me to be around as much as i used to. I'm gonna miss you folks.
It looks like we might finally get some rain from this tropical storm that's heading towards New Orleans. We desperatly need it up here. We have had 48 days over 100*F! It's the all time hottest summer ever recorded here. I lost one of my walnut trees, and a hazel nut bush:hit
I need to get busy collecting firewood. I have some other winterizing projects in mind. I need to insulate my hot water tank, plumb some hot water to the washtub, (so i dont freeze my hands washing clothes this winter) and i want to insulate my solar batteries. They don't charge well, and run down quicker when they are near freezing temps. I'm also thinking about making a small kerosene heater for them. I use sealed AGM batteries, so there is no danger of a hydrogen gas explosion. I'm also planning to over-winter my peppers and tomatoes again. I've seeds to collect, leaves and straw to shred into mulch, and lots of other fall projects to keep me busy.
I just finished a pretty big paint job, so i have some money for a change. But this is the time of year that my line of work slows down, so i'll pobably use most of this money to stock up on nessesary items and dry and canned goods. I could use it to buy another solar panel, but that could leave me broke for a while. I already have enough solar power for lights and TV through the winter. So it's hard to justify the expense. I think i should build a still so i can cook up my own booze. That would probably save me a ton of money!
Well, my time is up. I'll check back in when my computer starts working again, if it does. I'll be around from time to time. See y'all later!
