Jay, Actually I have not. :D I was just dating them this morning and thinking the same thing.

I should probably give it a go before I can any more.

May 21st

Wow time flies when your having fun. Last night my family walked down our hill to the local public school. My two older children will be starting there in the fall. It was great. We met several families that live right in our area. Children who my kids will be playing with and in Cub Scouts with. The transition should be smooth. My ds who is 8 is a bit stressed over the change. I think that should last all about 3 or 4 days once school starts.

I got a notice in the mail yesterday. My local water district has declared a stage 2 water alert. Mandatory water conservation. I am now limited on my water usage.
-I can only water landscape three days a week. Determined by address ending in odd or even number.
-Irrigate before 10am and after 6pm
-no fountains
-wash cars with a bucket
-water in restaurants only upon request
-use non potable or recycled h20 for construction purposes when possible

Makes me wish I had set up that gutter and barrel system last fall. Really I don't have any landscape. The only thing I water is my garden and fruit trees. I wonder if they have an average usage chart based on house size and property. I bet I am already way under.

Garden is doing great. Wax beans are turning yellow. Peppers are getting big. I have run out of space. Most of my raised beds are pretty full. I am now going vertical. I stood a couple of my cattle panels on end. I planted a few vining plants my neighbor gave me adjacent to the panels. I am going to try and go up and use stockings to support the fruits and veggies. We'll see how that works.

Not much else going on. Working on a couple sun dresses for my girls.

Hoping to find somewhere local to camp this year. We were going to try to take the trailer to Missouri to see the area and visit DH Aunt. Not sure if we can get the time off now. Or that I want to drive that far. Ds wants to go fishing though. Uggg!!!

Ok great heart attack.. I just had to rescue the puppy. We have a rocker glider and some how he got his hind leg stuck and every time the chair rocked it squished his leg. My heart is about to burst through my chest. :th Fun fun fun......

Well have a great day.

Ahhh poor puppy!
I am glad we do not have a water problem in my area. My kids waste it like you would not believe!! You would probably have a heart attack if you seen how often they just walk out of the bathroom and leave the faucet going full blast and at how much water they use everytime they are asked to water the chickens and ducks.

Can't wait to see the dresses you are making! Be sure to post pics!

I wonder if you need something like this lady got. I'm linking it, but as usual, I'm not sure it I'm allowed to.

Here's why I thought of you.

Now, I'm not one of those people who demands you turn off the lights if you're only leaving for a few minutes, or forever for that matter. But, multiple times a day, every day, I would go into their bathroom to find the faucet on full blast and no one in the room. Grrrrr....

That is a great little gadget. I will have to look for those next time I go to Home Depot.

It's kinda looks like the ones you put on hose bibs for animals to drink from. Do you think I could teach mykids to use that???

That is totally what is happening at my house! I just got up, all the kiddos were outside, and their bathroom faucet was running full blast! If I had to pay for water I would be freaking....but since I don't I just turned it off and did not say anything to them because I know it is my 4 yo DD who is doing it.
