Yes Dace there was 3.9 this morning I think. Some where out on the Elsinore Fault. I think near Julian.

Deb, I had my dd7 in piano 2 years ago. She had two lessons and then the teacher had to move them from the school to her private home. That didn't work really well for me so we stopped going. Kinda a bummer. I have met a woman who teaches archery and home schools her kids. The whole family makes up a band. So between her and the older kids they can teach the basics on almost any instrument. And she's really reasonably priced. I need to track her down again.

We just got home from a bowling pizza party for dh nephew. I was locked in a room with 15 kids, my in laws and sis in laws. The noise and chaos was way to much for me.. I really don't know how these people think this is normal. :barnie

An interesting side bar though. Sil has her 9yo in speech. He is also wearing a retainer to spread his pallet to hopefully make more room in his mouth for teeth. She tells me the speech teacher told her how great this is because once he has the right shape in his mouth he will be able to make the proper sounds. Anyways. The only thing that kept coming into my head was that article about facial structure and how a more nutrient dense diet changes the facial structure. Her son does not eat anything. I think for the first 6 to 7 years he grew up eating chicken tenders. Now he has moved on to corn dogs. :hu I wish I could forward her the article but she would probably never talk to me again. To each his own.

This morning I am suffering from what I believe is a carb hang over. I ate pizza at the bowling alley for nephews b day. Last night my 7yo woke me up in the middle of the night with a night mare. Then laid in my bed for a bit and then I finally sent her back to her room. Then I woke up with the 5 yo on my legs. Now the 5 yo is coughing. Why do I go out!!! :barnie

I could have stayed home worked on my crafts and not eaten 3 pieces of pizza. :he

We are heading to my Moms today. I am going to box up an entire holiday dinner and take it to her. Everything from one of those big turkeys in the freezer down to the cranberries I canned. She lives about 1 1/2 away. I have to admit we have not been there in almost a year. She lives in a tiny apartment with my 50 yo brother. Who to be honest I really don't like to have my kids around. I take a picnic blanket and toys and the kids usually stay out on the lawn with dad.

They come in and say hello and visit a bit with my mom. Then we all pack up and come home

Now all I need to do is get rid of the stabbing pain that slicing through the right side of my head and pack up the minivan. Oh, today is going to be fun.

Well here's a new twist on the day. Dh informed me that he had a conference call this morning at 8 am to review some report he was working on for 8 hours yesterday. So it's not just a phone call but he needed his laptop as well. At first we figured he could call from the car and I could drive. But the cigarette lighter thingy in my 10 yo mini van has no worked for years. So the inverter will not work. So no lap top.

Now he is in the garage on his call / meeting. :barnie

He said it should take an hour and when hes done we will load up and go.

What really peeves me is this is a GM report and he is not a GM. No to mention its Sat. A family day.

He finally got his raise on his paycheck yesterday. Sorry but 200 bucks is not enough to pacify me. My kids never see him any more. he leaves before dawn and comes home usually around 7 -8. They are in bed by then. :he

I am thinking of going without him but I can't. I can't leave my kids out alone at my Mom's. She is basically a shut in and we all really don't fit in her room. So the kids stay outside with dad. I don't trust the neighborhood enough to leave them alone.

Oh, another gripe for the day. My son's 5th grade teacher was gone for two days. When she got back the sub informed her the class was awful. So now he has a 5 paragraph essay how to behave with a sub. Due on Monday. I am totally peeved because that does not fit in my plans. I will need to sit with him and do the outline and then the sentence structure. This is not an easy task for him. I feel like I am being punished as well.

Can I jut go back to bed??? :th
