it s kind of exciting to hear about all the possibilities of where you might go - how great to be planning your life versus just taking what you get - deciding where you want to live versus living where you are, if I am making any kind of sense :/

Oh my gosh.....

Don't those home prices make you sick for what we pay for out here? I saw a gorgeous one with 22 acres, walk out basement, for $290K. We paid about $110K per acre here, with an old house on it. That place is $13K per acre.

I'm gonna be sick...and jealous that you are young, with a young family, and are willing to up and move to make your life and financial life better.

MR, I know. It's just sickening what we pay here in Ca. Everything down to the taxes, registration for your vehicles ect... are all just less there.

Well my family is young, but willing??? I am not so sure. But you have to remember I have been pushing this for years now. I always tell dh it will be easier now when our son is 10 not later when hes 15.

And it's still not definite. :idunno

But I am gonna keep trying. :fl My sister is in her mid 50's with grand kids. She says she might have to come retire near me. It's never to late to find a good spot. You can come too. :D

Hi Dac's!!

Yes I do. Dh leaves for work usually before 5am. I get up, pack his breakfast, lunch and get him out the door.

This morning I woke from a strange dream around 4 and just couldn't get back to sleep.. The alarm was to squawk at 4:30 anyways so I just stayed up.

Then I usually sit here for an hour and have my coffee and quiet time before the kids get up.

Which they have now, so off I go.

But I do go to bed much earlier than most.

I like the quiet in the mornings.

Thanks FF. There are some things we will HAVE to do. But it won't be that bad. Now that my re fi went through I am officially debt free. Except for the house. So that simplifies a lot.

Ok so what do you all think of this place? Please no one run and buy it. ;)

I feel you darlin....I'm happy we were able to sell ours so quickly (5 months) given the market. I agree, do things that don't require a lot of money. Clean everything really well and slap a coat of white paint on every room in the house. Buy a 5 gallon bucket and let it roll. Sell it as a "fixer upper", "great investment property", that kind of stuff attracts buyers in this kind of market.

Good luck honey, you could always come to VA!
