Thanks Dace.

You know I have been looking at the Breyer horses on e bay. There are 3 sizes if I am not mistaken, traditional, stablemates and minis. The hard part is when people list them they don't add any thing to the photo for size comparison. Kinda deceiving. I think I bought 5 stablemates on accident. :he

Well the guitar I am just going to have to live with. Son needs a hobby and I will get him lined up for lessons soon. Maybe I will get dd an acoustic for her bday in the spring. Then they can form a band. :gig

Don't forget the drums and a few brass *honkers* and you will be set

When I took Ds in for his lesson yesterday, there was a 7 yr old girl finishing up her lesson. Dd8 got excited.....and now wants to learn. I think she has too much on her plate right now though.

Have fun!

The bomb house fire was on KCRA sacramento last nite. I was watching for you, but instead they interviewed a young man. No Gina to be seen anywhere!!! I'm glad that the neighborhood is now safe.

Hey, I'm married to a drummer and my son has his own drum set, plus 3 guitars, a ukulele and a mandolin (all given to him). I feel your pain....

We saw your neighborhood on the news too. DH couldn't believe when I said I knew someone who lived within 10 miles of that place. I'm so glad you are okay!

I must say that is not really my neighbor hood. 10 miles can make a HUGE difference. My area is very rural and hilly. To be honest I think Escondido is a very old city. Goes to show I am not originally from around here and don't know much about it.

You dh is in a band isn't he? I love the kids to be around music. I just wish I knew enough to teach them. Looks like we will need to find a music teacher soon.

I just hope your kids don't decide to play at the same time my DD does. There have been times I've had to tell her at midnight to stop messing w/the guitar cuz I can't sleep! She's never had lessons, she's self taught, and IMO, does quite well.

My son took piano lessons when he was little. He wanted to take them, but after a bit, he never wanted to practice. He wanted to be able to play w/out working at it. I made him finish out the year-that was the deal when he started, then let him stop.

I wish both of my kids were more musical than they are. I can play the piano, guitar, clarinet, recorder, some fife and some on the stringed dulcimer, but neither of my kids were ever really interested enough to stick w/it. :( (Oh, and I'm no expert on any of them, but I enjoy it.)
