I slept awful last night. Which had my mind running. My knee was really sore, my shoulder hurt. I was trying to think why??? Then inflammation came to mind for both. Do you think there is anything in that Bob's Red Mill flour that could be bugging me? Kinda in reverse of helping DD? I know it's far fetched but I am normally pretty healthy. That is the only thing in my diet that has changed. It just seems too coincidental. :hu

I think I am ging to avoid it for a while.

g
Are you cutting out all gluten from your diet or just some? Cause if you are cutting out all gluten it could just be the reaction to that, which is good :) It means that your body is getting rid of the gluten and your becoming healthier :)

or, your allergic to one of the ingredients in the flour :D

BTW love those boxes as well :) we built something similar, but used odds and ends pieces. It would have worked if we would have watered more often

Speaking of your soreness....a couple of things that come to mind as being highly inflammatory are sugar and nightshades ( potatoes, peppers and tomatoes). Have you recently been eating an unusual amountof any of those things?

You may want to try a good fish oil, if you are not already taking them. I have developed a chronic ache in my left shoulder and 2500mg daily seems to keep it at bay...even after my sugar binge yesterday!

:hide Sugar uhhh I'll work on that. Potatoes?? What else do you feed GF eaters with there dinners??? Other than rice and Quinoa?? Tomato, bell peppers, Not that much lately.

I am back from the doctors. Strained Rotator Cuff, yeah I knew that. :he And something about meniscus??? The doc says 4 to 6 weeks of rest for my shoulder. And not to lift it over 90degrees. Is she freaking kidding me? My dryer is stacked on my washer it's over 90degrees. Putting my hand on the top of the steering wheel in the car is over 90 degrees. What about my desert trip for Presidents weekend? Not to mention the family of 5 I have to take care of???.

Sheesh, let the world stop for my shoulder!!!! :bow

She gave me a prescription for Alieve, and I got my Ativan refilled. :woot

I think I will call my Chiropractor in the morning and see if they can give me some PT of some kind.

Dace,

I currently don't take any fish oil. To be honest I cant figure out which one to take. So I skip it. My kids take Kid's Factors though. I am one of "do as I say not as I do" kind of Mom's. :idunno

Any recommendations??? I know I need wild but what kind of fish??

Well off to torture myself with laundry, dishes and lunch for the kids. Oh, 10yo came home early his stomach is still hurting.

CJ (who is the health and body care manager at the vitamin store, and before that was in vitamins) suggested Natural Factors Omega 3. Also said to avoid Krill. He also said Zyflamend from New Chapter is great for the inflammation and soreness if you can find it.

We eat various types of rice, and gluten free noodles with our dinners. And potatoes :)

Thank you both for your input,

I think I said on Dace's journal. I have my kids taking the Kid's Factors. Probably the same company. I will track them down and get some.

We really don't eat that many potatoes. :p I know my shoulder is sore because I He Mann-ed some Arrowhead water up the frot steps of my house one handed. But if the omegas will help with the inflammation I am on board with taking them.

Vitamin Shoppe carries the Zyflamend. I read the reviews. Looks really interesting. I think I'll pick some up.

Note to self, CJ is a vitamin guru!!!

Good morning Dace,

Thanks for the numbers, it helps. I have to admit I'm gonna stick with my SS roots and use what I have.

The Garden of life is Omega3 1095, EPA 400, and DHA 600.

Just something I read today. On

http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/in-therapy/200907/the-definition-insanity-is

I hear this every week, sometimes twice a day: "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results." No, it isn't.

Insanity. n. mental illness of such a severe nature that a person cannot distinguish fantasy from reality, cannot conduct her/his affairs due to psychosis, or is subject to uncontrollable impulsive behavior.

My husband keeps quoting his father on this. But in my eyes I think the later definition fits best. Fantasy from reality, it's a fne line.

Nothing wrong with that, no reason for it to go to waste!

Start taking them...about 2000-2500mg and cut out the sugar and potatoes for a week and see how it feels.
