Thank you all for the anniversary wishes. I must admit it wad a war of the wills. I refrained from saying it first because I wanted to see if he remembered. :hide. It was on the dry erase calendar in the kitchen, I knew he new. Neither of us said anything until dinner. Then we said Grace. I added a special request at the end something close to " please let us have a wonderful 12 more years". My 11yo said Happy Anniversary, I said thank you, and that wad about it.

Today was a busy day. I have managed to freeze and package the rest of the birds.
Went to the feed store.
3 loads of wash.
Dishes.

I drove to my son's school 3 times. Once to drop off. The second time at 10:30 am to deliver his pe clothes he forgot. The office said they could take them but could not call his class to tell him. I asked what good would that do. The said they did not know where be was. That was a load and I called her on it. I pointed to her computer and said you know exactly where he is. She says yes and replys they will not interrupt class. I leave get half way to the car with steam coming out my ears. Then turn around and go right back. New lady new excuses. I asked if I could take him the cliches she says no. :somad

I left. Less than an but later ds calls from nice teachers class asking for his clothes. Of course I took them.

Now I am here again picking him up.

Well off to finish my chores and six dinner.

See ya all later.

Oh, and I had no need for a to do list. He came home from work kinda early. Did some bids on his computer then did a bunch of stuff that needed to be done.

All good.

I think starting at about year 7 we had a fight every year on our anniversary. :/ Somewhere as the ages past that nonsense finally stopped and now by year 30 (Did I say that! :th) things are just smooth and sweet most days. I guess we are too worn out to fight anymore.

What works really well, I've found, for those kind of things is to send an email with a link to "this is what I want for ..."
He gets it. We're both happy. Me because I know I'll appreciate what he got me, he because he doesn't have to guess or try to remember. If I just want him to say Happy Anniversary, I say Happy Anniversary to him. If he doesn't get the cue, I say "that's your cue. Now it's your turn." He happily complies.

It works really well for us. I set him up for success, and we're both happy.

Your right AnnaR I should have wished him first. As for the gift issue, i would never ask for anything. I am a strong beliver that a person should only buy someone a gift from the heart. If someone does not know a person well enough to buy them something they know that person would enjoy then they should not but anything at all.

If that makes sense.

As for my Dh he knows I buy what I need when I need it. We are not big on gifts. So I don't blame him for that.
:idunno

Well today is going well. Got some errands run. Worked on dd 6 yo room a bit. I need to fold a bunch of laundry.

Guess I should keep moving.

Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday.

So yesterday Dh had to drive an hour south for jury duty. He should have mailed the paper back and claimed financial hardship but didn't. He should have sent the paper back and had it transferred from San Diego to our local court, he didn't.

So yesterday he went, was late, it took an hour and 15 min to get there. He paid 22 bucks to park and then for assigned to a case.
:barnie

Not sure how this will happen. He has to work, I can't afford parking. Just crazy.

Now he will also be in my morning mix. Not sure how much that will help. And I still woke up at 4:30, my normal time. He's sleeping.

So, last night I for my 12 bags of organic grain from Azure. I plan to get those in loaded today and into my barrels. Not sure I'd I should mix or not. It's do funny the people at my drop point usually buy a few small things. I think they were wondering what the heck I was up to.

I went to sons back to school night. :barnie :hit

Not to happy with the school or demographics. Sorry to say.

I really have no idea what I'm doing today. I want to go get some of those apples and onions I found on sale. But at the same time I don't want to spend the money.

Oh well.

Your right Karen we missed family vacation this year and you can tell. We all need some down time.

I hate the mall. But the corn dog sounds great.
