Depends on what I kill that week......

my brother is supposed to be coming and we are slaughtering meat birds that week with quite an audience I'm afraid....we have lots of people that want to learn how to "do the deed"

I may just let him handle it.....one year he marinated a turkey in wine and they had a pink turkey for thanksgiving

He's a big fan of brussel sprouts so I'm sure he'll make those. One year he went to a vegetarian thanksgiving at a friends house and they had sculpted a tofu turkey. I don't know about all that now.

If my family shows up then they bring waaaaay more food than anyone could possibly eat. A turkey and a ham, mac and cheese, carrots, green beans, dressing, pies, cakes, mashed potatoes, and about 4,000 other things that won't fit in my refridgerator.

I'm about like OFG....I wanna hide all day and just veg out on the couch with some nachos

ha! thats my girl!

and we are sooo looking forward to it. when we are with my family we spend all day in our jammies, cook all the old favorites, and just have a fun time.

the best is, tho, the next morning when we all shuffle into the kitchen, drag out the leftovers, and have turkey dinner for breakfast - with a lot of pie of course

;-)

I think we are just over all the holiday hoopla altogether.

We went to a friend's birthday cookout Sunday night and after an hour my husband found me with this desperate look in his eyes and said "I wanna go hooooooooome.....NOW" I just want to sit in my house and not have to talk to anybody if I don't want to.

I love my family....sometimes I just don't LIKE them very much. my MIL is supposed to be coming too so I kind of hope my family stays put. My mom turns everything with MIL into a competition and it is just ridiculous.

We always hunt on Thanksgiving....all day. We have more of a Thanksgiving lunch in between the morning and evening hunt.

Yes Nichole. That's pretty much all I'm holding out for, sweet taters. And pie.

One year I remember we had seven pies; pumpkin, apple, cherry, pecan caramel apple, and two blueberry.

We usually have some form of turkey, ahh.. corn and mashed potatoes? green beans.. Oh and lefse. Otherwise I'm not sure. I'm not all that big on holidays anymore.

Awesome!

I think we should just change the name of Thanksgiving to Pajama Day :D
