How do you do your chili? Texas style, with all meat and no beans? Traditional with just beans? Beans and meat? Do you like it soupy or thick? Spicy or mild? Bacon or none!? There are so many variations!

I've never found a chili I like quite as much as store bought. I love cattle drive chili, but not the "gold" kind which is the only kind I can find anymore. (It has corn in it). I would love to be able to make some of my own that I like as much. What do you all do?

Well, as we eat mostly vegetarian . . . ours is only beans. I like it on the thick side, spicy, with plenty of beer in it. :D

i've used a recipe from the Coyote Cafe for years... meat AND beans! superthick.. yummmm........

Okay, here is about 1/3 meat, 2/3 beans, plus all the saucy goodness of tomatoes, a little pumpkin, sometimes a handful of chocolate chips, a glug of very dark coffee, lots of the typical chili seasonings and a good shaking of chipotle. Mmmm....

Yup! I also like mine with fire-roasted peppers. Don't always have time for that though.
