Hehehee.....I keep going out to admire them and try to convince myself that they are starting to turn pinkish. But of course they are not!

Cute bean. Why didn't you plant the poor little thing some friends? :p

I mulched my garden today with leaves collected yesterday from my mothers tree infested front yard. I had 15 bags...enough for the tomatoes and squash at least. I am getting LOTS of tomatoes and blooms out there now!! The peppers and peas are blooming as well. haven't checked the pumpkins in a week, but figure they are doing good too. I have been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUSY! My garden is looking good though

I'll have to get more pics soon.

Okay, first a break for a weather update. Rain is forecast by at least a 30% chance for 9 out of the next 10 days. If it hadn't rained this morning, it would have been much drier, but the clock's running --- sooooooo.....

I decided to chuck all of my previous planning and just roll with it. Except for seeds purchased this year that I won't use all of, I'm tossing everything else in the seed box into the ground somewhere.

The small garden out back is planted with red beets, bunching onions, sunflowers, broccoli seeds, yellow squash, and I think my youngest planted some cantaloupe seeds.

I succumbed to the gardening urges and tilled up the area the chickens used as run most of last summer. I planted my cabbages and a couple of tomatoes (have no idea which ones, since when we re-potted, when my naming system was ignored by my help.

In the main garden, planted today.
about 160' of green beans (80' x double row),
240' feet of taters (Kennebec and Yukon Gold)
a dozen tomatoes
20' of peas
cilantro
parsley
oregano
threw some watermelon seeds in one compost pile
