Does your county tax assessor have their records online? You can check to see what it's valued at and sometimes it will tell you what it last sold for or what similar lots have sold for. The county has our 5 acres valued at only $20,000.
I have ~1/2 acre of yard left valued at $20K/acre and that has a private access lane running by the front and a 4 lane divided limited access highway running by the back. I got the pasture knocked down to$5K/acre this year and will go after the old lawn next year. The land in the area will not pass a perc test (solid red clay) so the land is not buildable(mine was sneaked through years ago before they even bothered to test) even if somebody was deaf and could pit up with the highway noise.~gd

smart girl....I told my hubby that I was not getting pregnant until all my bills and student loans were paid off. It was massive and took years to do but I sure did feel better about everything and I didn't think it was fair for him to have to pay for MY bills.

I get to stay home with my babies now because we were patient!

Another strike of the TEO... At least that was only moderately evil and not total life-destroying.

:smack for them.
"I can get up and go pee off the back porch and be proud of it."
:gig Why do males like to mark their territory?

Yeah.... We planned on not having kids until we were "grown" and had good jobs, a decent house and were settled in. Well, that didn't happen. We eloped in secret and I got preggers at 19 on our wedding night. Had to tell my folks that I was married so I could tell them they were going to be grandparents :D

I think you have a good plan going :thumbsup

I cannot believe you all are talking 'bout peeing outside...

Just last nite, while on the deck with our wine (it was 81 yesterday) I was lamenting the fact that we'll have to have the septic pumped at some point, and it costs money, and since we're both home full time, we must have filled up the septic by now, and when we were working, we wern't home to use it, so it didn't get filled as quickly, but of course the kids aren't here, and god knows how much tp they used to use, and.....

DH says well, I try to help. I pee outside all the time, instead of coming into the bathroom.

:ep

A term we came up with for evil relatives/in-laws/"friends".
The Evil Ones.
We all have them, some more than others unfortunately.

Mine (Aunt) is going to be charged with fraud, be fined & have to pay my parents for timber she sold off land that belonged to them jointly. She fraudulently got a power of attorney on my dad's mom and used it to transfer ownership of the old farm to her & her hubby's name. Not only did she sign grandmother's name, she did it AFTER grandmother was diagnosed with Alz.

You reap what you sow... Or in other words, karma's a B****h.
