SO....sooooooooooooooooooo

since the dawn of time Nicole's school went back after summer vacation on or around Aug 25

this year-----this year----they are proposing early entrance of Aug 7

talk about f'ing up my beach trip. I have 8 days planned for Aug 12-20 and thought I had her back WELL IN ADVANCE of the day she goes back.

if that new calendar passes (and everyone thinks it will) I am screwed. I planned this trip 11 months ago. yup, you have to reserve literally 11 months in advance to get a campsite. and there is no way I am cancelling. Going to have to chat with principal and get her excused for a week. I tell ya.....I tell ya....some days I feel like I am going to blow ya know

Just curious why you have to talk to the principal? Here if you want/need to take your kids out of school you just need to send in a note indicating which days your child will be absent, and they are responsible for getting their assignments from their teachers.

yes moolie I checked and I can get her excused for the week under 'educational trip'. so we have to learn a bit about the beach environment

I think what gets me is in general I don't another bone thrown at me ya know. it gets tiring trying to keep up with all the changes and other stuff all the time.
pity party for being busy I guess :p

lucky she is only 2nd grade so assignments so close to starting back shouldn't be a problem.

Sunday

off to the lake with mom and dad. might put the bass boat in the water. might not. I don't feel great today. got that tummy thing going on for some reason? I think we did too much these last few days. haven't stopped and haven't slept well. this morning I feel blah and icky. had pizza the other day and it just didn't settle right. eating crappier cause on the road and busy and that isn't good. So back to basics for eating. Since I do eat mostly clean when I go overboard, a few days in a row with somewhat junkier eating I pay for it for days. so time to get back on a good track and away from all the other junky stuff :)

bringing Nicoles friend Emily to the lake today. burgers on the grill. hubby wants to fish a bunch off the dock. they hybrids are biting. caught 14 the other weekend. they are tough buggers and are fun to fight. saved 3 better sized ones for the neighbor who loves them on the grill, threw the small guys back.

so fishing on dock, kids playing in the sand beach area Dad made, grilling out, play some cards, and relax. nothing dramatic. might boat, might not :) always a fun time.

Nicole had 2 friends come over yesterday. pool finally ready but a bit cloudy. have to do a final water sample to the pool store next week to get the final clear up. pain getting pools ready lol

HOT HERE. 90s now. and must be age, but I can't take the 90-100s like I used too. hung out outside watching the kids in the pool and I melted. whew.

so everyone have fun today (or tomorrow, hubby works tomorrow so we are having our fun day today)

be safe and enjoy!!!!

I can't stand the heat either. So I think you're right, it must be the age.

I am so slammed and freaking busy it is insanity.

friggin' insanity :p  which is ok cause it suits me :p

soap. making so much soap it is crazy. orders everywhere. people buying tons thru email and at the market. I make batch after batch every single day. which I like for the cash of course, but wow, I had no idea I would be this busy this early. AND I have to have inventory up because I have so many wonderful vacation trips planned, but that means no curing soaps. SO I AM slamming making soap like a maniac.

pool finally clear. swimming now and that was tons of work getting that operational and of course the upkeep. Had Nicoles 2 friends over to swim Sat. and Sunday it was supposed to be only Emily, but in the end her sister came too cause her friend blew her off. So she was darn near crying cause Emily and Nicole were going to the lake. I had to say yes LOL no choice it was so sad. We ended up with 11 kids at the dock. kids everwhere. boogie boards, floats, and they were lined up jumping off the diving board. I tell ya it was a blast. Then Tony put the bass boat in the water and we got out the water tube ski and he took everyone around the lake, whipping them on the waves good. Emily and Destany had such a blast. they never did the lake thing before.

BUT WHEW. having someone's kids for 2 days in a row meant I got nothing done  Nicole wanted Emily over to swim today, I said no. I had to grocery shop, laundry, vaccuum and SOAP of course. I have to catch up.

and now going to start putting everything back intot he camper because Tony wants to jet off Friday right after Nicole gets home from school. He wants to try the camper now before we leave for our 8 days at the beach. SO THAT right now is a rush. washing all sheets etc. for the camper and getting it all put back together is ALOT of work.

THEN Nicole goes the runs her bike down the side of the camper. I thought Tony was going to have a cow right before my eyes :p Scrapes are not 'too' bad. kinda not too visible but geez, ya know.

I have to run a million places. soap deliveries to store tomorrow, off to get supplies for office/label printing, have to hit post office with boxes to mail soaps and return a few things I bought and didn't work, gotta get muttley into vet for a few update shots, gotta hit walmart and return a bathing suit for Nicole that is too big and pick up a few things I need for camper.

I don't know which direction to go WEEEEEeeeeeee, maybe straight to the looney bin :)
