I missed all 4 of my spots. my goodness people can reserve fast and I was ready on the dot. MAN OH MAN

I want that $25 per night beach campground locked up. I am not wanting to swing $65 per night at the other beach campgrounds. 8 day trip that is a HUGE money difference.

I am ticked, intrigued others can reserve so fast, and ticked...hahaha

but I have 4 more lined up to book in the morning and OH YES I will be trying SO HARD

but there is a site, 189, in the far back woods. big open easy back-in site. no reservations on it cause it is farther from the beach...of course right now everyone is battling for those front beach spots. I will book 189 tomorrow if I do not get those other spots I am hoping for because I am going to get into this campground next June, come heck or highwater lol and if I book 189 Tony said we will start looking for a golf cart to bring with us....I am excited about it but pissed about having to buy one, but I want one and we have been planning it and I have the money set aside for it, but I kinda didn't want to buy one with that money (oh heavens, my mind is against spending money but heck I only live once, at least I hope) ugh

so the stupid battle continues.

Nicole's friend Emily coming over in a bit. cloudy again today and pool water is chilly. I think I will take them to see the movie Cars 2 at 1pm. Nicole won $50 in free movie tickets and I haven't used them up yet, so it would be free so why not right? hoping sun comes out but it doesn't look like it --ugh

so off to get things moving here

took the kids to the movies yesterday to see Cars 2 (very good by the way lol)-- I had $25 in free movie money and 2 coupons, buy 2 medium drinks and get free medium popcorn.

OMG again, I forgot how expensive. 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 med. popcorns, 4 medium drinks was $60. What the....lol

movie was reasonable cost--then it goes downhill fast..lol drinks were $5.15 EACH, popcorn was $7.25 EACH

so in the end I paid only $15 of that 60 so I got away cheap....but seriously, I thought going to the movies was the cheap entertainment, yikes...lol---but the movie was good, funny

setting up Command Central to try to book my campsite for next June at the beach this morning. wish me luck. booking these primo spots is hard to do. everyone wants them and everyone books at the same time...just got to hope I am one of the lucky ones this morning.

Tony took the truck for a brake job early this morning. Nicole and I doing small chores, have to hit the feed store for mineral block and some goat feed. they haven't had any supps for a while, been on grass, but I will buy a bag as a treat for them. have to worm and trim feet, will set that up for next week sometime.

then swim swim swim today.....not doing much. not in the mood lol

so everyone have a fine day! I will.... :)

:ya Good for you!!!! Camping should be good next year.

We go to the $1 movies during the summer. I take the kids and they enjoy the shows. I splurged and took them to see Transformers in 3D on Friday. $43 bucks. :ep

And that was the early bird matinee. :th

That reminds me of when we managed to get site number 99 at Big Sur Campground and Cabins. My best vacation ever, 20 years later I still fantasize I'm back there reliving that particular two weeks. Enjoy!!!!!

pool is finally clean and wonderful. swimming like crazy, it is summer and hot as heck. 110 today. whew

heading over to Barb's to swim for a while today and chat and drink a few beers or something. just to goof off and relax. Barb has her grandson Mason so Nicole acts like his big sister and they play great.

soap soap soap and more soaps as usual. biz is booming

Nicole and I are getting haircuts this morning. Off we both go for a good cut. Was going to get Bolt into the groomer next door to our hair salon but decided to save $15 and gave him a bath here yesterday. I can't get him as white as they did. I got to find out what shampoo they used. Being so little it took all of 15 mins. to give him a bath, at least he smells way better haha

Have to do a little clothes shopping soon. Tony got me a few gift certificates to nice stores in Hickory for Christmas and I haven't used them yet. So Barb and I will plan a trip next week maybe to spend those. Need a few more nice shirts for going out. I always have more denim shirts etc for farm work and since that has slowed to a crawl finally--I need good clothes for going out more now. I forgot I had the certificates and found them stuffed in my jewelry box the other day haha

Goat some goat chow and min block for them. Wow they jumped on that block.

off to check some sales in the grocery that start today. maybe I can get some free items. who knows...lol

nothing much more happening. all good, all fun, all the time. well except for stupid chores.

everyone enjoy this fine day! :)

When hubby and I vacation the ones we like best are when we just have a general direction to go. We just start driving and see where we end up.

For years we have loved to primitive camp. (Although that is getting VERY difficult or impossible these days due to my medical issues. :( ) We have a camper shell for the truck and I carpet the bed with indoor outdoor carpet. Then we toss in our futon mattress, a few supplies, 12 gallons of water from home and my cast iron pans. At that point we are ready for anything and can basically just pull off the road and be ready to camp. We have been in some very lonesome places and loved it!

oh that is a shame you are grounded from such good trips at this time!

I know my camping vacations just mean so much to me and to have to stop would be hard....I could do it, but I wouldn't be happy when vacation time came around lol
